Lo Pan's Revenge ( A Big Trouble In Little China Synth Tribute) by Everett Dudgeon

"Arpeggiator/Sequencer party! I was at the studio this weekend and decided to record a few tunes. John Carpenter and Alan Howarth's score for Big Trouble In Little China is easily one of the best synth scores out there and it features probably the greatest synth setup in history. I decided to do a small tribute using the synths I have. Not a direct cover but there's certainly some motifs and riffs from the amazing score.

Sequential Prophet X Sampler-Slap bass, Middle Eastern percussion, Mandolin and Glass Marimba samples as well as some string, choir, Prophet VS and ethnic instrument overdubs.

Prophet 6-Some filtered pad sounds at the beginning, the iconic "rising brass" stab and some low arpeggiation.

Tempest-Lots of frantic percussion using the built in arpeggiator with both the LM-1 and Linn Drum Samples

It's all in the reflexes. :)

Load Runner-Pulse Synthesizers -Granular synthesizer ideal for creating background sound

"today I have a little bit of creating cool effects with the granular synthesizer Load Runner from pulse Synthesizers.
basically it's a small game with granulation and length, later I raised the pitch up and then down to say how cool results give you granular synth for creating textures or new ambient sounds and backgrounds.
for showing this I also used a little reverb from Black Hole DSP from Erica Synths.

The Load Runner granular synthesizer allows you to load 16bit WAV files from USB flash drive.
The selected sample is a randomly generated source of information on CV and CV.
Grain length and pitch are also controlled via the front panel or CV. Three pitch modes are selectable via the settings menu. The grain amplitude envelope is selectable from 10 shapes.
Also the term 'granular'refers to small snippets of sound ranging from 10 milliseconds to 1 second; each short section of sound is referred to as grain. An amplitude envelope is applied to different grains and textures. When multiple grains are played together, they can form a continuous sound with different characteristics."

Empress Effects Zoia Modular Synthesizer And Effects Device In A Pedal

"In this video we used the Zoia first as an effects unit for the Elektron Digitakt, then as a standalone synth voice, and then showed some of the crazy modulated synthesizer sounds it can produce that would be hard to get out of a fixed architecture synthesizer.

The Zoia is a powerful set of sound generators, effects and modulators that can be freely routed into each other with many different control options available. It even has midi in and out for controlling it from a midi sequencer or keyboard. For sound it has stereo inputs and outputs.
