"iWave1902 v1.2 offers:
4-Controls per Parameter
• Slider: full range parameter value adjustment for a ‘coarse’ workflow
• + button: precise +1 parameter value adjustment for a ‘fine’ workflow
• - button: precise -1 parameter value adjustment for a ‘fine’ workflow
• Parameter default value button: pressing the parameter value label / button sets this parameter to a default value for a faster workflow (ex: DCO wave = Saw; VCF frequency = wide open; etc...)

Parameter Name and Value:
• Name (ex: O2Wav): as displayed on the synth LCD, UI or User Manual
• Value (ex: Saw): as displayed on the synth LCD, UI or User Manual, dynamically changes when you use one of the 4 controls (slider, + button, - button, parameter default value button)

LFO3 'Chopper' / Step Sequencer:
The Chopper (LFO3) is definitely one of the greatest feature of Wave OS 1.902; we have implemented a very cool way to display LFO3 Steps. Like a step sequencer, the Steps are lighten-up when used!"

  1. Mmmh, why should one use an iPad, when he owns a synth with a great user interface full of knobs and buttons?
And there is no rack mounted Waldorf WAVE. I never saw one using the WAVE standing somewhere remotely and using it via an external keyboard and a controller box.
The WAVE was meant to be self contained in every aspect. Including the wavetable generation and the resynthesis of audio samples into a wavetable.
Just because it is easy to adapt an existing iPad software for the Waldorf WAVE, it does not mean it is a good and well selling (there are about 300 or less WAVEs) iOS app.
And the new (non Waldorf) OS 1.902 LFO3 chopper can be easily set by using the sliders below the display. OK, you have to press a single button below the display to get from steps 1-8 to 9-16. But there is a well working UI on the WAVE.
If you use this software, you need to set the globals of the WAVE to reflect the ingoing midi controllers and data to be shown in the display. It might be turned off, so that you hear the differences, of the iPad editor, but don't see it in the display.

Something about the WAVEs user friendly UI:
All edits you do to a WAVE single sound ("Instrument") or the multi mode ("Performance") is stored permanently for each and every sound and multi! Even when switching the WAVE off. But the original stored sound is not deleted. The Edit and the original one are both staying in the WAVE at the same time. You can delete the edit or save it anywhere as you like. But you can't use the edit and the original sound at the same time without saving. But there is of cause an compare function.

  2. Hello Qwave,
Thanks for your comments and thoughts. Our editors might not fit your workflow but you are not the only one using a Wave on the planet. Different people have different needs and different workflow.
This could surprise you but iWave1902 did sell!
    Best regards,
    Michael

  3. Actually I can see the Wave display being updated when iWave1902 sends some MIDI messages and of course I can hear my Wave sound change.
Werner fixed the display 'live update' since 1.8x upon my request.
    Best regards
    Michael
