New Patch Base Editors for the Access Virus TI Snow, Virus TI, and Virus C
via Coffeeshopped:
Back in November, friend of Patch Base Stefan George (who helped with the MKS-50 and DW-8000 editors) contacted me asking if I'd like to borrow a Access Virus C and Virus TI Snow in order to make editors for them. I gladly took him up on the offer.
December and January were mostly eaten up by fixing bugs and improving performance in Patch Base, not to mention avoiding other viruses, so it wasn't until the end of January that I actually got to work with these synths. And they are complex! Then February came, and almost a week of that month left our home without electricity (and heat) due to the worst winter storm Texas has seen in my lifetime. But now here we are in March, and the new Access Virus editors are here as well.
The Virus is the best-sounding virtual analog synth I've heard. And the TI line in particular has the most parameters I think I've seen! The modulation capabilities and the deep effects sections of the synth are astounding. The editors Patch Base now offers capture all of that depth in a compact form for quick access to any part of the synth. Below I'll go in-depth with the Virus TI Snow editor. The Virus TI editor (which also supports the TI2) is almost identical, with the exception of offering 16-part Multis rather than the TI Snow's 4 parts."

iPad template for Novation Super Bass Station
Published on Aug 27, 2013 tffshtt·3 videos
"This template can be downloaded for free from my website (no login or registration required): http://templates.demostudioberlin.com... [open on iPad with TB MIDI Stuff installed]
It is an ipad programmer/ template for the hardware Novation Super Bass Station analog bass synthesizer. In order to use it, you have to have TB MIDI stuff installed on your iPad. At under $5, it is reasonably priced, especially in comparison to Lemur, its closest competitor (like Lemur it can send NRPN and SYSEX MIDI messages so it is ideal for hardware synths). It works fine on my iPad 1 with a generic camera connection kit, going through the USB port on a remote sl master controller.
Note: this is the alpha version"

This is an ipad programmer/ template for the Novation Super Bass Station hardware analog bass synthesizer. In order to use it, you have to have Lemur installed on your iPad, which us around $50 in the app store. Is it worth the price if you are just controlling a super bass station? maybe. Though gimmicky, the physics engine unleashes an animal living inside the SBS that makes it really fun. If you are looking for straight up control, no gimmicks, take a look at my 'TB MIDI stuff' template for the SBS. It controls all the same parameters without physics, has some good features of its own and is $5. Lemur and this template work fine on my iPad 1 with a generic camera connection kit, going through the USB port on a remote sl master controller and into the SBS. Have fun!"

TB MIDI Stuff Andromeda Editor V1 Now Available

via Boele: "As of today the first version of the iPad editor for the Andromeda A6 synthesizer is available. The editor captures all sound editing parameters on the Andromeda, spread out over 102 pages with a combined mix of NRPN and system exclusive messages. Its focus has been on sound design, so it is not a librarian (yet). That might or might not change in the future.
The editor is free, however the template it needs to run in "TB MIDI Stuff", a MIDI controller app for the iPad which costs 4,99 $ / 4,49 €. The app is totally worth the money since it's developer, Fabien Manchec, helped a lot in the background to make this Andromeda editor possible.
Besides running this Andromeda Editor, you can use the app also to build your own MIDI control templates or use already made templates by others.
I would appreciate it a lot if you give the app a nice rating/review in iTunes as a thank you to him!
The download link will give you a zipped file which after unpacking leaves you with two files: the actual editor and a Read Me text file. I suggest you first read the Read Me text file! :-)
I would appreciate it a lot when users mail me with bug reports, ideas and suggestions: scd@synthmusic.info.
I will use the forum on electro-music.com for discussions about the editor and the Andromeda.
http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-90.html [direct link to editor thread here]
Update: direct link to the editor download here.
For me personally, sound design on the Andromeda changed completely: to have a better oversight of all the functions and a WAY better interface (specially concerning the knob value resolution) makes the Andromeda like a complete new synthesizer for me.
Yes, the thing has a few bugs, yes, even with the editor it still is a complex synth, but oh it can be *so* rewarding. And in a way it is a 16 voice polyphonic analog modular. With patch memory! That's pretty unique.
Enjoy!

MIDI Designer iPhone demo - iOS MIDI controller designer
Published on Oct 16, 2012 by iOSMusician5
"The MIDI Designer app for iPad / iPhone (support coming soon) allows you to design the perfect MIDI controller to fit your needs. This is quick demo of the iPhone version which will be available soon as a free update. What really sets this app apart from the Lemur iOS app is that you can design ON YOUR DEVICE. Lemur does feature the physics engine but I've gotten word from the developer that we may see that at some point: http://twitter.com/MIDIDesigner/status/250668991553626112

MIDI Touch iPad Editor for the Waldorf Blofeld Updates

You might remember the fairly extensive iPad editor for the Blofeld from this post. It's just gotten a bit more extensive. bobborries, the creator of the template added a Performance Template, and two ARP Sequencer templates. You'll find them on this thread on iOSMIDI.com. iOS MIDI are the creators of MIDI Touch.
You can find MIDI Touch on iTunes here:

An interesting note about controllers is they don't require as much CPU power as full on synths. That means as prices go down on the original iPad you can pick up relatively affordable controllers. Use one for the editor and one for an advanced sequencer.

TouchOSC layout dedicated for FL Studio´s Step Sequencer

"Designing a TouchOSC layout for each FL Studio project is a bit boring. So I come with the idea of having a tool to sync some aspects from an FL Studio project with a TouchOSC layout. The most important aspect I got in my mind is the Channel names from FL Studio's Step Sequencer because the Step Sequencer from FL Studio is a powerful tool that´s almost responsible for all the unique workflow of this DAW
This layout is for better handling automation via FL Studio´s Step Sequencer (When Muting/Unmuting Channels). It comes with a feature that shows the Instrument Channel names from FL Studio (up to 12 Channels plus up to 4 characters from each Channel's name) in your TouchOSC layout almost in real time. That helps a lot with the workflow of creating music in FL Studio plus sequencing it with an iPad.

TB MIDI Stuff iPad Editor for the Yamaha FS1R
TBStuff ported several pages of my Touch OSC editor for the Yamaha FS1R. That editor was mapped for The Missing Link. This TB MIDI Stuff port works with CoreMIDI over USB so you do not need The Missing Link for it to work, although it will work with it over wifi as well.
A cool thing about this editor is that communication via USB is two-way, meaning if you change a parameter on the FS1R, it will also show up on the editor. Also, this editor shows you the value as you edit so you can dial in edits more precisely. Currently there are templates for the following pages: fseq, Cmn, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and EQ. More may follow as TB MIDI Stuff has time, but I thought any of you with an FS1R wouldn't mind giving these templates a try. You can find them here.

PPG Wave EVU with Ipad Controller
YouTube ploaded by MrAnalogean on Mar 28, 2012
"The PPG EVU is basically a rack version of the Wave 2,3. Up until now it was however only controllable through the Wave keyboard or a Waveterm. Now thanks to a new iPad App from iContolMIDIDesign, and updated EPROMs (Version 8,3) from Virtual Music it is now possible to use any midi keyboard and control the parameters of the EVU using the iPad app. This opens up endless possibilities of tuning in and changing the existing sounds of the EVU. "In this video we demonstrate how to connect an iPhone to the Missing Link and then how to control a Moog Little Phatty via a custom template designed in TB MIDI Stuff Tiny (http://www.thiburce.com/).
The two major advances we haven't seen before here are that we can now draw templates directly on our iOS devices themselves, rather than on a computer and transferring them. We also demonstrate the native support for The Missing Link that is integrated directly into TB MIDI Stuff - this makes developing templates much easier and avoids the necessity of creating custom OSC messages."

iMopho1 v1.2 CoreMIDI iPad Editor Now Available
YouTube Uploaded by iControlMIDI on Mar 16, 2012
"Apple has released iMopho1 v1.2 our Wired and Wireless CoreMIDI iPad Editor for DSI Mopho module / keyboard.
iControlMIDI for the Mopho offers all the Program parameters.
iControlMIDI displays some numerical parameter values in semitones, cents, notes, ms, Hz or BPM rather than plain numbers.
Like a hardware step sequencer, the used steps are lighten up by iControlMIDI.
In order to offer an even faster workflow:
• iControlMIDI automatically enables the Mopho Module / Keyboard parameters and value lists based on Page 0 Synth selection
• iControlMIDI automatically disables the Mopho Module / Keyboard parameters and value lists based on Page 0 Synth selection
• iControlMIDI automatically enables the some parameters based on other parameters values
• iControlMIDI automatically disables the some parameters based on other parameters values
The Mopho can be edited using the following Pages:
• Page 0: MIDI channel selection and Mopho Module / Keyboard selection
• Page 1: Global parameters
• Page 2: Program DCO1 and DCO2 parameters
• Page 3: Program VCF and VCF Envelop parameters
• Page 4: Program VCA and VCA Envelop parameters

DSI Mopho - 80s ARP by iControlMIDI
"Here is another example of how you can realtime control sounds with iControlMIDI.
We are using the 2 Sub Oscillators and the ARP 2-octave up & down to create the sound; then sequencing 2 notes, 1 octave apart which is creating the 3 octaves sequence basis.
The first part of the sequence, only DCO 1 can be heard.
The second part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI to slowly move the DCO Mix towards DCO 2; which has a high pitched Oscillator modulated by LFO 1.
The third part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI to change the LFO1 Waveform from Square to Random, then back to Square.
The fourth and last part of the sequence, we are using iControlMIDI so fade out the VCA.
There is a high end (hardware) reverb."

The Missing Link wirelessly controlling a Yamaha 01V Mixer via an iPad and iPhone

A quick demo of the Missing Link controlling a Yamaha 01 Mixer simultaneously via an iPad running TB Midi Stuff (http://www.thiburce.com/TBStuff/), an iPad2 running TouchOSC (http://www.hexler.net), and an iPhone4 running TB MIDI Tiny Stuff (http://www.thiburce.com/TBStuff/).
The Missing Link receives OSC messages from these iOS devices via the TB MIDI Stuff and TouchOSC applications, converts them to MIDI and passes them to the MIDI-enabled Yamaha 01V Digital Mixer via standard MIDI DIN-5 connection. The Missing Link also converts the MIDI Out from the Yamaha 01V into OSC and can send it back to a single iOS device. The Missing Link allows anyone with an iOS device (iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch) wireless control and feedback of any MIDI enabled device.
