The Univox Stringman is a vintage analog string synthesizer. Not many frills to these keyboards but they have a very cool sound if you're looking for a nice 70s string machine. I had a lot of fun making a jam with these instruments. The sound tends to lend itself to something akin to the Virgin Suicides soundtrack. At least thats the direction it took me. Where will it take you?"

"The Stringman Univox has 3 string supports: contra bass, cello, and violin. The modulators include: vibrato with delay and chorus. Timbre can be adjusted with mellow, medium, and bright. Master volume and bass levels are adjustable. Vibrato offers adjustments in speed and depth. Sustain length is also available to control on this synthesizer."

This offering from Italy's Crumar (branded Univox in the USA) 'The Stringman' gives a range of fat analog tones resembling string sections of the kind that are now recognised as unique to that 'golden age' of early synthesizers and that are still able to cut through the mix."
