Turn That Knob...

Thought you all might appreciate this one. Before I pass judgment, my cat JD loved chewing the few knobs on the Sequential Circuits Multi-Trak. Guess it helped him come up with some patches.

Title link takes you a few more shots while they are up on electro-music.com.

  1. Hey Matrix, no offense, but the cats with synths, non-stop flickr set postings, and "make your display read matrixsynth" things are getting a little out of hand, don't you think?? I just want to read up to the minute interersting synth news and long for the day when there was less "fluff" here. Maybe you could make a couple spinoff blogs just for these 3 purposes? :)

  2. Don't worry, I'm doing a few things to improve this. Flickr has become saturated so I am now hand picking the shots I want to see again. The Matrixsynth By shots are a huge compliment, people take time out to do this so they will go up, but putting them up as they came in was a LOT of work, so I started putting up all in one post a day, so you can just skip that post if you don't like it. As for interesting content take a look at the posts inbetween. The ratio should get better over time. Also, I don't fabricate this stuff - sometimes the rich content you might be looking for just doesn't come in. BTW, if you come accross something you'd rather see on here, by all means send it my way or post it in a comment. That's what other people do. If it's about synths and is worth putting up, it'll go up. Finally remember everyone has different tastes. Posts you like aren't necessarily going to be what others like and vice versa. Out of all the email I've gotten personally 99.9% has been favorable. Actually I'd go so far as say 100% has been favorable in the last couple of months. The only questionable comments I have gotten are by anonymous posters in the comments. But... I am one of my worst critics, and I'd be lying if I did not say that I agree with you. I don't want to be known as the synth picture flickr cat blog. So I'm definitely with you there. I'm actually glad you posted this, so thanks.

And yes, this particular cat shot would still go up. Something painful about it gnawing on that knob. But... It probably wouldn't be as annoying if there were fewer flickr shots and the like

Thanks for understanding. This wasn't meant to upset you.
