Abbreviated as UASSO, this unique orchestra emerged sometime during winter/spring 2009. The idea was to gather analogue syntheseizer enthusiasts under the same roof, to practice for a live performance as the opening act of the new and exciting electronic music festival VOLT (www.voltfestivalen.se).

The arrangement and music was written by Erik Möller, Kristofer Ulfves and Mario Pierro.

The VOLT festival took place at 6th of June 2009 in the city of Uppsala, Sweden. For information of the line up, here is the last.fm event: last.fm/event/935709+Volt

  1. Great stuff should be more of it!

Very nice. It'd be nice to have a theremin section (or soloist) too!

  3. Thinking on it now, I'm surprised it hadn't been done before. It's as cool and simple as Rhys Chatham or Glenn Branca's guitar symphonies and, like those, will really reach epic proportions when it's 3-400 players.
