  1. Wow! Can't wait to see what's next. I would love a version of an MC-505 or a virtual version of the MPC 1000. Just sick....

  2. Nice toy !!!! But what can you do with a gear which is unsyncable???? And with no Pro AUDIO OUtput with a good preamp..........

  3. Ironic that the only finger-touch piece of hardware on the real mccoy is the flinger slider, which didn't make over to the software port? I mean there should be an entire lemur styled PAGE of ONLY finger sliders for different parameters!

The audio on the iPad is supposedly really good...so we'll see how it sounds in person. Probably better DAC than the original Electribe itself has in the first place!

Indeed the ONLY THING that this iphone/ipad market is missing is a DIN MIDI interface for it! Line 6 made one, but that dumb thing just records and plays back midi..which doesn't unlock the 135,252,156 different music apps on the iPhone, nor does it allow you to use your OSC toys to control actual outboard gear... What's all this BS about WIFI Midi...no one gives a crap about syncing to a DAW any more when you have gear like the Elektron MachineDrum/Octatrack/etc. here to make music without a mouse now... Why must we go so far backwards before we can move forward again???

  4. supposedly iPad will have USB port dongle attachment - which hopefully will alow it to be midi-syncable to other gear. The question is how will it behave... I think the potential in iPad is there, next gen will most likely nail it but lack of extra ports and somewhat modest capabilities of the underlying hardware make it a nice prospect but still in realm of toys. Now, when I can have a multi-page ableton live controls on the ipad - that will be a dream come true. It will totally blow everything out of the water: Akai, Novation, and even JazzMutant.
