"Up for auction is a ready-to-use PreenFM DIY synthesizer. It may look a little toy-like, but it's actually a rather powerful little poly synth with a very unique sound character. Like Yamaha's classic DX synths, the PreenFM uses FM synthesis, but it is not a DX clone. Instead, it has a pretty distinctive sound of its own.
Basic specs:
FM Synthesis with 9 different algorithms.
4 to 8 voice polyphony, depending on which algorithm is used.
Modulation sources: LFO, EGs, step sequencer.
Modulation matrix.
MIDI In and combined Out/Thru.
MIDI control over all sound parameters.

The unit sold here was carefully built and is fully working. It has the latest firmware version 2.0 installed, which was developed in collaboration with French synth guru Olivier Gillet (aka Mutable Instruments). The unit is in good cosmetic condition.
