Rheyne - Live Jam #113 (Two MIDI Fighters and a Launchpad)

Published on Jan 19, 2015 Rheyne

Update: breakdown video below.

"Live looping with MIDI Fighters, a Launchpad, and Ableton Live. Recorded in one take with no pre-recorded loops or samples.

Two pages are being used on the Twister. One is dedicated to an instance of Turnado on the drums channel. The 2nd page contains blue, green, yellow, and red vertical rows, which match the instruments on the MF3D’s four banks. The first bank (blue) is for piano. The green bank is drums, the yellow bank is a monophonic instance of NI’s Massive for bass, and the fourth red bank is a polyphonic version of Massive. The top two rows of the Twister are master lowpass filters and resonance for the group channels, and the bottom two rows are reverb amount and mix. The MF3D’s tilt axis is mapped to the lowpass filter and resonance on both instances of Massive. All loops recorded with the Launchpad are MIDI, except the first piano loop recorded into Ableton’s audio looper (mapped to the MF3D's side buttons).
