New dsp-Halo From DSP Synthesizers in the Works - mini 2GB SSD DIY Poly Sampler Synthesizer

Mini is an understatement. On the heals of the success of the dsp-G1 with Adafruit, DSP Synthesizers is working on a new 2 by 2.8 cm 2GB mini DIY polyphonic sampler synthesizer.

Via Jan, the man behind DSP Synthesizers:

"The follow up on the successful dsp-G1 chip is a great DIY Gigasampler. Measuring 2 by 2.8 cm it has 2GB samplestorage on Micro-SD SSD, playable over MIDI.

Yes, That is over 13h of samplestorage.  Storing all of its samples on the 2GB replaceable micro-SD it can take a new setup just by replacing the card. All in a 28-DIP pin space. Breadboard/Solder whatever.

This will be the coolest ever DIY Synthesizer/Sampler.

Most of the sampleplayers out there does a have bad implementation of playing triggered samples. This one plays MIDI keyboard notes straight from a 2GB SD card.

Polyphonic! All in a tiny DIY DIP solder package. It is definitely the coolest DIY pack to own. /Jan"
