ARP Odyssey (Korg), FunkBox Drum Machine iPad app and MIDIpal demo by Jordan Passmore
Published on Feb 24, 2016 Jordan Passmore
"This demo is of the ARP Odyssey (Kore reissue), FunkBox Drum Machine iPad app (Using the Yamaha RX11 sample set) and the Mutable Instruments MIDIpal.
The FunkBox drum machine app on the iPad Air 2 is the master clock and the iPad is connected to an iConnectMIDI2 MIDI interface. The iConnectMIDI2's MIDI out is connected to the Mutable Instruments MIDIpal which is running a sequencer app which is sequencing the ARP Odyssey via MIDI. The audio of the iPad and the ARP is running into my audio interface (Roland SuperUA) and summed inside of Ableton Live.
I am playing the keyboard while the sequencer is running to take advantage of the duophonic nature of the ARP; when I do this, one oscillator is following the sequence while the other is responding to the CV of the keyboard. When I stop playing the keyboard, both oscillators continue to follow the sequence."
