Roland TR-8 (909-mode) + OP4 1.1 (Ableton, Max4Live) Demo by Jordan Passmore

Published on Feb 22, 2016 Jordan Passmore

"This demo is of the Roland TR-8 Drum Machine (with the TR-909 kit loaded) and Ableton Live DAW (with OP4 Max4Live patches). Ableton Live is sending sync signal via USB to the TR-8 and the audio of the TR-8 is sent straight into my audio interface (Roland Super UA). The TR-8 is completely devoid of effects while the two instances of OP4 (a four operator FM-based Max4Live synth designed by Katsuhiro Chiba) is being ran through ValhallaDSP's UberMod (delay) and VintageVerb (reverb). One synth patch is the bassline, the other the melody. These three instruments were mixed in Ableton Live."
