A Q&A Session with Dave Smith
Published on Mar 15, 2016 Nashville Electronic Music & Synthesizer Group
Fascinating bit on the ability to create new Memorymoogs, CS80s, etc starting at 10:45. The OB-6 took DSI and Tom Oberheim less than six months to do as the backbone with the Prophet-6 was already in place. The Oberheim based voice boards with filters just needed to be designed in.
"At this year's third meeting, the Nashville Electronic Music & Synthesizer Group skyped with the synthesizer legend Dave Smith about the recent release of the OB-6, the past and present days of DSI and Sequential, future plans, and much more.
Filmed on March 10, 2016, at the SAE Institute, Nashville, TN.
