Playlist:

1. Mr Woofer - Enter Space (Atari STE Demo)
"Enter Space!" says Sinclair Spectrum ZX through its Currah uSpeech synthesizer. The Atari STE and its Yamaha YM2149F chip in all its square wave glory does exactly that. The tools used to control the STE are NSQ (Near Synthesizer Quality), Chip Synth and MaxYMiser.

The powerful beats are coming from NI Massive except for the Hi-hats and noise bursts which are also Atari STE. As usual external reverb and delay are added. Hope you enjoy it!

Music and Sound Design by Mr Woofer (Konstantinos Kampanis).
Original footage and video editing by Mr Woofer.

Enjoy!
2. Mr Woofer - Phazed (Casio VZ-10M Demo)
Here is my demo of the Casio VZ-10M, which is the rackmount version of the Casio VZ-1 Interactive Phase Distortion synthesizer.

All sounds including the drums are coming from the Casio VZ-10M synthesizer. Some delay and reverb is externally added.

Enjoy!
3. Mr Woofer - SID Dreams (Commodore 64 & MSSIAH Demo)
So, this is a Commodore 64 with a MSSIAH cartridge demo. I use the Mono Synthesizer application of the MSSIAH which can be controlled in real time by MIDI CC messages. I've made a template on my NI Komplete Control S61 for this purpose so editing is a breeze!

All sounds including the drums are coming from my C64's 8580 SID chip. As usual, a touch of delay or reverb was added externally.

Enjoy!
4. Mr Woofer - A Night in Berlin (DSI Tetra Demo)
Berlin school multitracked demo of the Dave Smith Tetra. All sounds are coming from the Tetra with some external delay and reverb added.

The Tetra is controlled from the Soundtower VST plugin which is automatically mapped to the Nektar Panorama P1 for real time control.

Enjoy!
5. Mr Woofer - Additive Addictive (Kawai K5000R Demo)
All sounds on this synth demo, including the drums are coming from the Kawai K5000R advanced additive synthesizer. The K5000R is the rackmount version of the unique Kawai K5000 Advanced additive Synthesizer.

The original macro controller is very rare these days but thankfully all its parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC messages. I use my NI Komplete Kontrol S61 to control the K5000R in real time.

Enjoy!
6. Mr Woofer - Rice Fields (Korg EX-8000 Demo)
All sounds on this demo except for the drums are coming from Korg EX-8000, the rackmount version of the famous DW-8000. Some delay and reverb was added on some of the sounds. EX-8000 is controlled from the CTRLR VST plugin which is then mapped to the Nektar Panorama P1 for real time control.
7. Mr Woofer - Biphase Modulations (Korg MS-20M Demo)
A multi-track demo of the Korg MS-20M. All sounds (including "chords") come from the MS-20M with a bit of reverb and delay added. Drums from NI FM8 through Guitar Rig and Battery.
8. Mr Woofer - Tomorrow (Korg X5 Demo)
This is a music demo of the Korg X5 synthesizer. All sounds including drums are coming from the X5 with some externally added delay and reverb.
9. Mr Woofer - Space Station (Korg Legacy Collection Wavestation Demo)
Music made with Korg Legacy Collection Wavestation. I much prefer this version to the hardware because apart from the fact that they sound identical to my humble ears, the software version has all the sound cards, imports directly original Wavestation presets and it has filter RESONANCE! On the other hand a hardware synth is always inspiring...well, can’t have it all!

All sounds including the drums are coming from the Wavestation with a touch of external delay on some sounds. Otherwise all the effects are from the Korg. As the software version does not have an audio input, the vocoder sounds are coming from the TAL vocoder.

The footage comes from the free public domain Prelinger Archives: "Highlights 1965: A Progress Report (Part II)".
10. Mr Woofer - Molding Glass (Roland D-550 Demo)
A multitrack synth track featuring the Roland D-550. The D-550 is the rackmount version of the famous Roland D-50 vintage digital synth.

Everything except some of the drum sounds comes from the D-550. As usual some external delay and reverb is added.
11. Mr Woofer - Night Sky (Roland D-550 Demo)
This is a real quick Roland D-550 sound demo which I've made in about one hour. The D-550 is the rackmount version of the famous Roland D-50 vintage digital synth.

All sounds are coming from the D-550 with some external reverb and delay added. The drums are from NI's Drumlab. No compression or any kind of mastering plugins are used.
12. Mr Woofer - Time Travel (Roland JD-990 w/ Vintage Synth Expansion Demo)
This is a music demo of the famous Roland JD-990 with the Vintage Synth expansion card. All sounds except for the drums are coming from the JD-990. External delay and reverb added here and there.
13. Mr Woofer - The Day After... (SQ8L-an Ensoniq SQ-80 emulation Demo)
This is a multi-tracked demo of the excellent SQ8L VST instrument. The SQ8L is a pretty accurate emulation of the Ensoniq SQ-80 hybrid synthesizer from the late 80s. It even loads original SQ-80 and ESQ-1 presets. The plugin itself is very old but it's so good sounding that makes the effort of using it through jBridge absolutely worth it!

All sounds on this demo except for the drums are from the SQ8L with some delay and reverb added externally as usual. The drums come from NI Battery.

The vinyl video loops come from Videezy.com.
14. Mr Woofer - Orange is the Color (Waldorf 4pole and DSI Tetra Demo)
This is a Berlin school inspired music demo. All sounds including the drums are coming from the Dave Smith Tetra polyphonic analog synthesizer and the Waldorf MiniWorks 4pole analog filter.

The Waldorf filter is the 12V version which is essentially a very good sounding 24dB/octave Moog ladder filter clone as found on the famous Moog Source. It is controlled in real time through my NI Komplete Kontrol S61 MIDI controller. The Tetra is controlled from the Soundtower VST plugin which is automatically mapped to the Nektar Panorama P1 for real time control.

Delay and reverb are externally added.
15. Mr Woofer - Operators (Yamaha TX802 Demo)
"The TX802 is the rackmount version of the famous Yamaha DX7II synthesizer that shaped the world of music as we know it today.

All sounds on this demo including drums are coming from the Yamaha TX802. The demo is multitracked and a touch of delay and reverb is externally added."
16. Mr Woofer - Journey Back (an ambient synth demo)
Journey Back is an ambient synth demo composed and produced by Mr Woofer (Konstantinos Kampanis).

Hardware synthesizers used:

Kawai K5000R, Yamaha TX802, Casio VZ-10M, Roland D-550, Roland JD-990 with vintage synth expansion card, Korg EX-8000, Korg X5 and a Commodore 64 with MSSIAH cartridge.

Music and sound design by Mr Woofer. External reverb and delay added. Sometimes a little distortion coming through can be barely heard. It comes from the internal filter resonance settings of the K5000R so it's part of its charm!

Stock footage used:

"A drive through downtown Los Angeles" and "Los Angeles from the road" from the 1940s.

Enjoy!

P.S. Try to listen this to a decent system. Smartphone and tablet speakers totally fail to reproduce the intended sound...
17. Mr Woofer - French Disco (Korg ARP Odyssey Module Demo)
The Korg ARP Odyssey Module in all its glory! One of the best bang for the buck analog mono synths on the market right now. Pure vintage analog sound without the annoying mini keys! ;)

All sounds on this demo are from the Odyssey with external effects added. The drums are NI's Battery.

The speaker video loops come from Videezy.com and DrFootageGuy.
