Trumpet and Buchla Modular Synth | Sarah Belle Reid

"In which I connect my sensor-based augmented trumpet MIGSI to the Buchla 200 and 100 modular synthesizer systems for the first time. MIGSI uses sensors to collect gestural data from the trumpet as I'm playing, and sends that as serial data over to a computer running Max/MSP. In this video I'm using the Expert Sleepers ES-8 module to convert signals from MIGSI into control voltage, which is being used to modulate a patch on the Buchla.
