Tek6 👾 (Roland TR-6S, J-6, JU-06A + Pill Pedal // Erica Synths DB-01 // Arturia Keystep Pro)
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"For the 94th 2-Minute video (actually it will rather be "2 x 2-Minute" 😉), we are going for a an uplifting "melodic techno" jam, featuring the Roland JU-06A (synth chords), J-6 (synth chords), TR-6S (drums) ; Erica Synths DB-01 (Bass) ; Arturia Keystep Pro for the sequencing and live transposing parts!
The jams begins with the JU-06A playing a pattern sequenced by the Keystep Pro, where I play with the LFO rate modulating the PWM, allowing to transpose the the riff.
Then, enter the Drums with the TR-6S (only one pattern was used here with the TR-6S' internal sequencer, with probability on some sounds to add small variations 🤩) and the bass part played by the DB-01 Bassline (sequenced by the Keystep Pro).
At last the J-6 is being introduced to play some plucky chords: the simple chords have been sequenced on the Keystep Pro, however I used the "Arp/Rhythmic phrase" feature of the synth to make them syncopate.
* Hardware used *
- Roland TR-6S: drums
- Roland JU-06A + Pill Pedal (triggered by the TR-6S) : synth chords
- Roland J-6: synth chords
- Erica Synths DB-01 Bassline: bass
- Arturia Keystep Pro: sequencer"
