LARIX-ELEKTRO aka LE - Eurorack Modules
video upload by LARIX ELEKTRO
"Here is a quick presentation of the first four modules from LARIX-ELEKTRO:
- RITOURNELLE CV Generator
- RITOURNELLE TRIG Generator
- RITOURNELLE Shift-R extension module
- CONTROLE Att-V

Larix-Elektro (Simply call it LE)
The CV Generator is devoted to the generation of CVs, in the form of sequences.
The TRIG generator is the counterpart of the CV generator, this time for Trig sequences.
The Shift-R is an extension, for now only for the CV Generator. It adds 8 Trigger outputs to it.
The AttV-4 is a simple bank of 4 attenutors, that is also a mixer and/or a dispatcher 1 to 4.

WHAT'S THAT THING ?
The CV Generator allows you to generate
CV sequences, up to 16 steps. with only 4 parameters:
- The number of steps NB from 1 to 16
- 3 parameters adjusting the sequence.
The module requires an external clock inserted at the CLK input. Or in fact, any signal.
The module has been designed to be able to synchronize with your patch, with its RESET RST input.
Similarly, it can synchronize other modules of your patch with the End Of Cycle EOC output.
Combined with the looping option, it is possible to further expand the possibilities of the module.
Intermittent play of the sequence, chaining...
Each of the 4 parameters has its own CV entry. It is thus possible to dynamically vary the sequence using CVs.
Presets, rich variations of the sequence, morphing between 2 sequences...
There are other options to manager the CV inputs and also the output.(See doc. below)
Extend your module:
The module can be enriched by 2 expansion modules:
- The AttV-4 adds to the CV entries an adjustment of the CV value by an attenuverter.
The connectors on the back of the module save connectivity at the front.
- The Shift-R adds 8 Trig outputs to the module.
Minimal configuration:
A clock generator, or a LFO, or any signal into the CLK input.
Any other module that need a CV stepped by the CLK IN.
The module don't works alown, it needs at least one signal into the CLK input to play the sequence.
WHAT'S THAT THING ?
The TRIG Generator is intended to generate trig sequences for... Anything:
It has 8 steps whose content can be modified using a single parameter.
Of course, the number of steps is adjustable, as well as the choice of the first step.
And only one parameter to generate the sequence?
Yes, the module uses Euclidean rhythms, but also Binary or Gray. (See doc. below)

Also: there are 2 outputs: OUT, of course, and
1-OUT, which is the "complement" of OUT.
Extend your module
The module can be enriched by an expansion module:

Minimal configuration:
A clock generator, or a LFO, or any signal into the CLK input.
Any other module that need to be triggered.
The module don't works alown, it needs at least one signal into the CLK input to play the sequence.
WHAT'S THAT THING ?
This is a bank of 4 Attenuverters.
That can be used as :
- 4 independant Attenuverters.
- 4 input mixer, with the SUM output.
- 1 to 4 signal dispatcher, with the MAIN IN input.
To be simple:
All 4 outputs are mixed together to the SUM output. Which therefore works in addition to the separate outputs of each circuit.
And the MAIN IN entry is added to the input of each circuit.
The module can also be used as an extension to LE modules with CV-controllable parameters:
The output of the 4 circuits is taken from the back of the module in the form of a 5 PIN connector (the 5th is the ground, just in case).
Simply connect one or more of these pins to the same type of pin on the module to be controlled.
We added a CV input to the module to be extended, which this time has an amplitude (and inversion!) setting.
WHAT'S THAT THING ?
In fact, it's simple: it adds 8 trigger outputs to any modules that have a CV output. (and the appropriate connector !)
Like the Ritournelle CV Generator.
Technically speaking, it's just as simple: It convert the 8 bit that are used to generate the CV output of the module, into 8 outputs: 1 per bit !
To do that, it uses a Shift Register circuit (hence the name ...), that converts serial data to parallel data.
This module does not works alown but is only intended to be used as an extension.
Even though it can be easily hackable (DIY friendly). See the doc. below.
