Gator Legio: Stereo supersaw PM oscillator on the Legio platform

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Gator Legio is a stereo supersaw oscillator inspired by the Manis Iteritas Alia core, with piles of detuned saws, phase modulation, and plenty of stereo movement.

Get a Legio module and swap to this firmware today:

Let's start with Detune. This spreads the saw voices apart in pitch, taking your sound from a tight unison to a huge, dense, swarm of saws.

Saw Mod changes the character of those waves, giving you another way to push the harmonics with that classic Noise Engineering sound.

Then there's Saw Count. This switch changes the number of saw waves in the swarm.

And since Gator is stereo, the Stereoness switch spreads those voices across the stereo field for an even wider sound.

The inputs are for phase modulation. Feed in another oscillator and you can take that supersaw into much stranger territory.

And send a gate to the 8vA input and Gator instantly jumps up an octave, giving you another fun way to animate a sequence.

Gator is one of several synth voices available for Legio. You'll also find AT, Plus, Unda, Reso, and plenty of completely different percussion voices and effects to swap in over USB.
