Why isn't anyone talking about this beauty?

video upload by Synth Codex

"A no-talking sound demo of a music instrument that really surprised me. I'm talking about the Organelle S2 by Critter & Guitari, a tiny instrument that can be almost anything. One minute it's a synth, the next it's a sampler, a drum machine, a looper, or a strange effects processor. It doesn't feel like a normal synth, and it's not trying to be one. That's what makes this instrument unique and so fun to play.

I hope this video gives you a feel for what the Organelle S2 can do. Sometimes the best way to make music is to play around and have fun!"

Bastl Thyme+ Sound Demo (no talking): A digital tape machine!

video upload by Synth Codex

"In this video, I run a few different audio sources through the Thyme+ to show off its range: from subtle tape warmth and classic stereo delays to aggressive pitch modulation and rhythmic glitches. No talking, just raw audio directly from the unit.
The Bastl Thyme+ is a hardware audio processor built around a digital tape-delay engine with multiple reading heads and dedicated modulation sources named Robots that can automate almost every knob on the panel.

Critter & Guitari Septavox

via this eBay listing

"Critter & Guitari’s rare and revered Septavox in a canary yellow aluminum enclosure is here for your consideration. And yes, those are the signature, C&G wooden buttons

A one-off collaboration between Critter & Guitari and Jack White’s Third Man Records, the Septavox is a portable synthesizer featuring 41 keys, 7 modes, 7 tones, and an internal 3-watt speaker powered by 9v DC center-positive power supply (or four AA batteries for playing on-the-go and jamming in unplugged group settings).

Enjoy MIDI in and out ports, as well as a quarter-inch, monophonic line-out jack for plugging into an amp or mixer/interface.

Conceptually, the Septavox is something like a more accessible, road-ready version of C&G‘s Organelle—designed for plug-and-play use, while rugged enough to be tossed into a backpack without a second thought. Each tone and mode corresponds to a dedicated knob and colored LED indicator. Simply note the color combo of a favorite mode and dial in the volume, tuning, and dual modulation parameters.

The seven modes are: Vibrato, Slide, Two-Octave Arpeggiator, Swell, Octave Cascade, Slicer, Pipe Glide.

And the seven tones: Dirty Sine, Sine, Electric Organ, Square Wave, Sawtooth, Dirty Square, Computer."
