"Everything is hardwired: start/stop foot pedal, output cable (with 1/4" mono jack) and power cord. It has a little compartment in the back where you can stuff all the cables and pedal for carrying around with handle on top. The unit is front-heavy and has rubber feet on the back. So, I guess it was supposed to be laid flat on the back or mounted to a stand with a screw since there's a female screw socket on the center of the back. You can tweak the sounds with the trim pots inside including making the bass drum sound self-oscillate like a Roland TR-808."

Keith McMillen Has Passed Away
Some sad news in via Keith McMillen Instruments
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith McMillen.
Keith McMillen, a pioneering force in audio and music technology, passed away this week leaving behind a legacy of innovation and a profound impact on the music industry. Born July 10, 1957 in Bermuda, Keith dedicated his life to revolutionizing how live interactive music is played and experienced.
A passionate advocate for the intersection of technology and music, Keith’s academic foundation was laid at the University of Illinois, where he earned a BS in Acoustics under the mentorship of James Beauchamp. He further honed his skills in classical guitar and composition under the guidance of Herbert Brun, Scott Wyatt, and Sal Martirano. Over the years, Keith developed MAPPS, an integrated computer composition, notation, and performance system that became the bedrock of his group TrioMetrik.
Keith’s professional journey began in 1979 when he founded Zeta Music, a company that would become synonymous with the modern violin. His revolutionary electronic instrument designs set new standards in the music industry, creating a market that continues to influence musicians today.
In 1992, as Vice President at Gibson Guitars, Keith founded G-WIZ, an R&D lab where he developed ZIPI, a groundbreaking musical instrument control language that evolved into the Open Sound Control (OSC) protocol and lay the foundation for MPE and MIDI 2.0.
In 2005, Keith founded Keith McMillen Instruments, a company that quickly became known for its cutting-edge approach to musical technology using patented Smart Fabric sensors. Keith established the company to bring his innovative vision to life, and under his leadership KMI introduced groundbreaking products that combined Smart Fabric with musical artistry, including the K-Bow, QuNeo, QuNexus and K-Board Pro. These instruments, recognized for their versatility and advanced capabilities, reflected Keith’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of what was possible in music technology. His work through the company solidified his reputation as a pioneer in the field and left a lasting impact on the music industry.
In 2014, Keith founded BeBop Sensors with a mission to expand Smart Fabric applications into the fields of wearable sensors and haptics. This led to the development of several products and patents, including virtual reality gloves and insole sensors. This work inspired Keith to form Sensible Robotics, a new company where Keith focused his full attention on Making Robots Feel Better™ by using Smart Fabric to develop robotic skin.
Keith McMillen’s work exemplified a lifelong commitment to exploring how computer intelligence and user interface can enhance and expand musical performance. His passing is a great loss to the world of music and technology, but his innovations and achievements will continue to inspire and shape the future of both fields."
His instruments have been featured throughout numerous posts here on MATRIXSYNTH (271 posts to date including this one). You can find a handful of posts featuring Zeta here.

Released in 1987.
RARE COLLECTOR Early Model number 279

1 OLD ORIGINAL ADVERTISEMENT
Fender has also released one on its side: The Chroma Polaris.
Story : Gibson had bought the Italian brand SIEL (Societa Industrie Elettroniche)
and worked in collaboration with its engineers who had already released
a lot of synthesizers including ( Cruise, Orchestra, Orchestra 2, Dk-70,
Ex-80, Dk-80 , Expander , Opera 6 , Dk-600 , Dk-700 , Kiwi ) and worked
themselves with suzuki and knew how to draw inspiration from analogs
from Korg .Moreover it would have been produced in Japan.
Gibson's synth, the Keytek CTS 2000 is a 330 plus wavetable based
synthesizer. But it is above all one of the last analog synths of this era. For
this it was equipped with Curtis chips, the same used in the little brother
of the Waldorf Wave, the Microwave .... as well as the Prophet 2000 which
is a Sequencial Audio / Dave Smith sampler ...
It has 6 voices with 2 oscillators per voice.
7 levels of envelope settings...
A Total MIDI Implementation....
An internal memory to save 48 sounds.
Finally its specialty of Cross Table Sample allows to mix for a sound of the
wavetables between them to obtain a combination of 330 X 329 so 9000 !
That is more than 9000 waveforms more than the sinusoid, the triangle,
the square, the sawtooth ! And this for a single voice ....
Each oscillator can be tuned differently for Fat sound .
An Lfo is also present to modulate these.
Dcf
Dca
Cut-off
Resonance
ADSR on 7 levels
All this in many combinations
One cannot simply overcome its possibilities.
It produces a unique sound. With it your instrumentations won't sound too much today.
He will add a personal color. It can produce percussive sounds, particular pads...
Another thing that differentiates the KEYTEK CTS 2000 is that very few copies
were produced in the world.
There are 2 other Keytek models but they are only weakly trimmed compared
to this one.
The model on sale was released in the very First GIBSON-SIEL workshops.
Number 279."

Gibson - Echoplex Digital Pro Black & White Rackmount Loopers
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via these NOISEBUG Listings
"The Echoplex features 16-bit digital 44.1kHz recording/sampling to RAM. It ships with 50 seconds worth of memory, however this can be easily upgraded just like any sampler using standard RAM SIMM chips to up to 200 seconds of recording time.
Although the Echoplex may have been designed with the intentions of being a modern digital delay based on the classic tape-based analog delays (Maestro Echoplex EP3), the Echoplex offers digital, clean, and intuitive performance features. Play anything into it, loops, guitar, keyboards..all in realtime. As soon as you stop recording, the sampled material begins looping...and you can now jam along with it! Overdub additional loops and build arrangements, all on the fly!!! The number of overdubs and length of loops is limited only by the amount of memory. Mistakes or undesirable loops can easily be undone. The Echoplex can store up to 9 separate loop/ arrangements. A cool EFC-7 Foot controller can also be used so you can punch in and out of loops without having to use your hands...so you can keep playing.
The Echoplex is also fully MIDI capable. All controls send/receive MIDI data and even the Loops can be saved and loaded via MIDI! MIDI sync makes sure your loops can be locked to the tempo of your MIDI sequencers giving the Echoplex a niche in your MIDI-studio as a dedicated loop-player! Loops, like samples, can be assigned to keys on a keyboard and can be triggered as loops or single-shot samples. Other functions of the Echoplex include Reverse, for backwards loops, and a Multiplay feature which repeats loops a user-defined number of times to create an extended loop (ie: extend a 4-beat loop into a 16-beat loop)."

1960s Gibson G101 Vintage Combo Organ SN 5515
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
Love the look of this one.
"1968 Gibson G101 combo organ in excellent condition, fully serviced and ready to be played. Rare in any condition, the G101 was manufactured for Gibson by Lowrey and is best known for its extensive use by Ray Manzarek in the Doors, as the versatility and reliability of the G101 was preferred by Manzarek over the Italian Vox Continentals available concurrently with this model. And given the extensive overlap in circuitry with Lowrey's DSO-1 Heritage Deluxe organ used by the Beatles on Sgt. Pepper's, the G101 absolutely nails the sparkling reedy harpsichord tones of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
The tonal options on the G101 are vast, and the controls very user-friendly, with three color-coded and logically laid out banks governing the bass register, vibrato/ sustain/ percussion, and the various voicings separated by Flute tabs (white) and Horn/String tabs (yellow and blue). A perfect middle ground between the reedy attack and nuance of the Vox Continental and the bold, bubbly textures of a Farfisa, the G101 straddles these extremes with aplomb, offering rich layers of transistorized combo organ perfection. With the Sustain and Staccato tabs, some piano and harpsichord-esque tones can be realized, and the multiple vibrato tabs allow for more present, choppy textures or smooth warbling tones. The Percussion feature also operates as it should, albeit fairly subtle in its effect, activated by a small bulb with a rate set by the corresponding knob, producing more of a tremolo effect layered with the vibrato.
The circuit has been thoroughly serviced by Synapse Audio, and all keys are even and respond smoothly. All functions and tabs work as they should, and it's worth noting that the Reverb tab is for an external effect (the G101 was never offered with internal reverb). The keyboard features a trio of new knobs, and all tabs feature their original lettering. While the small badge on the organ facing the performer is missing, the particularly large and raised Gibson badge on the flip out compartment that secures the legs is intact, as is the Gibson model/serial plaque. The stock handles are intact too, and new thumbscrews with the proper threading have been sourced to secure the legs compartment.
Cosmetically, the organ is quite the looker with its original Seafoam and Fawn two-tone covering. There are a few bald corners and modest wear on the exterior from honest use, yet the organ presents very well and is structurally sound."

"Vintage Gibson Maestro G2 "Rhythm 'N Sound" Synthesizer from the 1960's. Some of the pots are a bit scratchy but, the unit is in GREAT shape as the pictures will show - complete with case, foot pedal and original instructions overlay!
Cool vintage effect unit that lets you add one or more voicings to create some really interesting textures and sounds. They're kinda cheesy but classic! Bongo, Brush, Tambourine, & Clave percussion sounds.
String bass lower octave doubler sounds killer!
Has an awesome nasty fuzz tone that really makes this unit Da BOMB!!
Add unique sound overlays - Color Tones (preset EQ settings), Wow Wow (Wah) and Echo Repeat (tremolo) with speed control.
Overall it's a VERY clean effect unit that has a killer vintage tone and would be excellent for a few studio tricks."
