The Mythical Yamaha DX7 Bass Cartridge
video upload by Espen Kraft
"Stock, Aitken and Waterman used a lot of DX7 basses in their hits. In interviews in the 80s they would occasionally talk about their cartridge with DX7 bass patches and how no one would get access to it.
Many decades later and the patches can now be found online. Just to make sure I asked Phil Harding if he was able to verify that these are indeed the real mythical patches and he, in turn, asked Ian Curnow. Ian Curnow is of course the guy that actually did the programming of most of it. He also made the Fairlight patches/sounds for 'Never Gonna Give You Up' which uses one of these bass patches. Ian Curnow did confirm this is it."

MIDI Solutions ROUTER | Extremely handy!
video upload by Espen Kraft
"Select, filter and rechannel MIDI messages. The MIDI Solutions Router is a fast, easy and effective way of getting a lot of things done. I use it to setup synths as master keyboards with MIDI ranges, outputs and pitch bends. On older MIDI synths with constant Omni ON, this is a fantastic box."

Alex4 Booth at Musikmesse 2012 - New Doepfer Distribution Partner

No booth pics, just some info via PatchPierre.Net where you'll find more. Remember it's not all about the pics. Just capturing bits of synth history.
"This year you will find Doepfer products at the MusikMesse (in Frankfurt/ Germany), that started today, in hall 5.1 at booth D86 of their new distribution partner Alex4.
Alex4 is Doepfer's latest partner that aims to "collect regular products and innovations from smallest manufacturers in Europe, the USA or elsewhere to promote and sell them with specialized retail partners over europe fulfilling all european regulations while trying best to go a „green“ way wherever this could be possible."
They also distribute other (small) analog synthesizer brands like Alyseum, Cwejman, Flame, Kenton, Manikin, MFB, MIDI Solutions, Moon Modular, OTO Machines, Sherman SND, Studio Electronics, Vermona and WMD, so they have a very exciting booth at the MusikMesse"

MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus MIDI Filter Mapping Tool
via this auction
"The MIDI Event Processor Plus is a very powerful tool for mapping, filtering and processing all kinds of MIDI data. For example, you can use it to map note numbers onto other note numbers or onto control change events, or to reroute MIDI data from one MIDI channel to another. Additionally, it can completely block or filter any kind of MIDI event.
One of its many applications is to enormously extend the Yamaha Tenori-On's capabilities as a MIDI sequencer for external synths. You could use the Event Processor to map note events from some of the Tenori-On's layers onto control change messages. That way you could use your Tenori-On to sequence things like filter cutoff frequency etc instead of just notes.
Or you could use it to remap notes from the second sequencer track of a Roland TR-909 onto the required note numbers of an external drum synth.
For further info please visit MIDI Solutions website:
http://www.midisolutions.com/prodepp.htm
The Event Processor is MIDI-powered and doesn't need a separate power adaptor. It can pe programmed by Sysex messages. There is a free Windows editor available for download from MIDI Solutions' website."
