This is what I'm taking to the spring MMTA Synthfest 2013 tomorrow - on March 16th 2013 . . .I mean today! :-/ I had finally finished as much as I was going to get finished and I was testing it out and was enjoying cranking this up through my K10 PA speaker so I thought I'd make a quick video.

MMTA Spring SYNTHFEST Update

Just a heads up, for those planning to come to the event, Circuit Abbey, and possibly Antimatter & Malekko may not be able to make it to the event.

Update: it looks like Gordon may be on for  his 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Skype session on the ARP Odyssey & Minimoog after all.

See the main post here for who is attending. It will be a great event.

I'll be putting up a post later, but the Bob Moog Foundation has sent us a bunch of goodies for a raffle. The raffle tickets will be $5 a piece or 5 for $20, so bring some cash. 100% of the raffle proceeds will go to the BMF so it's going to a good cause.

The event of course if free!

Note this will be at the MMTA SYNTHFEST on Saturday.

"My Division 6/Mattson SQ816 came over and went in my new Sequencer Skiff - very fun. The SQ816 is a very cool device with lots of features. I have to refer to the manual and the little Cheater card that comes with it. It came with a little Division6 Jacklight too which is really sweet. It will be at the MMTA Synthfest..."

MMTA Spring SYNTHFEST 2013 Event Details

MMTA SYNTHFEST on Facebook

Update: Mark Vail, author of Vintage Synthesizers and former Editor of Keyboard Magazine will be in attendance at the Mattson Mini Modular Booth.  If you have a copy of his book, bring it in to get it signed. Also I added London Bridge Studios to the list.

As announced on February 7th, the MMTA Spring Synth Fest is coming to Shoreline Community College just north of Seattle on March 16th! You can find a map of the campus here (building 800).  The event is completely free so if you are in the area, do drop by.  It's a great chance to see gear you might not otherwise and a chance to sync up and converse with others that share your interests.  Note you do not have to bring any gear to attend, so if you can only make an hour or two, drop by.  The festival runs from 10AM - 5PM PST, but if you plan to bring gear you can start setting up at 8AM. There will be four rooms this year.  The Petting Zoo Room will be where people can bring their gear and mingle.  For those who attended previous events at the PNW Synth Gatherings at Renton Technical college, this is your room.  Along with The Petting Zoo, there will be a Jam Session room where you can jam along with others,  a Presentation room where dedicated lectures and performances will be given throughout the day (see the schedule below for some interesting talks lined up), and finally there will be a "Tradeshow Room" where manufactures will showcase their latest gear.

MMTA Spring SYNTHFEST 2013 Coming to Seattle on March 16

The MMTA Spring Synth Fest 2013 is scheduled for March 16, 2013 at Shoreline Community College just north of Seattle. You can find a map of the campus here (building 800).

There will be four rooms this year:

The Petting Zoo where you can check out gear brought by people attending the event.

The Performance / Telepresentation Room for scheduled performances and presentations.

The Trade Show Room where manufacturers will be able to give demos on their gear. This is similar to The Petting Zoo but will likely be a quieter setting where you can go one on one with individual manufacturers.

Jam Session Room where people can perform with their gear.

Additional details will follow as we get closer to the date. We wanted to get the word out now for those who need to make travel plans.

You can find the Mostly Modular Trade Association on Facebook here.

See the MMTA SYNTHFEST label below for pics and videos from prior events.

If you are a manufacturer and would like to present at the event, send me email: matrixsynth@gmail.com.
