A New Update from the Pianist, with an Ambient Patch!

"The Pianist is a eurorack polyphonic chord sequencer. It facilitates harmonic chord progressions within modular synthesis. It just got a new firmware update (v1.2) with two key features that are explained in this video. These features are as follow:

• Three shortcuts for faster editing:
copy pasting by holding the button pressed when accessing a chord
setting a chord repetition by holding the button on 'go to'
setting the chord progression loop by holding the button on 'then'

• A new "JUMP" function that replaces the old page functions. This will make the Pianist jump to a random chord within a user-set range when the gate is triggered.

This video shows the step-by-step patch on a modular system to set-up the Pianist with the Mutable Instruments Plaits and compose a fast but musical chord sequence using the new JUMP function."

These are a new compatibility mode with the Music Thing Modular Chord Organ, and a new option to select the root of a scale you can edit your chords in.

This video shows the step-by-step patch on a modular system to set-up the Pianist with the Chord Organ and compose a fast but musical chord sequence using the new scale root option.

"The NOH Modular Comper is a eurorack gate sequencer module for chord accompaniment​. Play a gate sequence from a bank of widely used jazz, bossa nova, and pop chord patterns. Patterns range from Swing to straight 8th notes, and are selectable in three time signatures (4/4, 7/8, 3/4). Add a groovy humanized bass that is dependent on the genre of the chord pattern, and perform with randomness for generative music (or lucky musicians). Additional outputs are meter and 8th notes.

This video shows the step-by-step patch on a modular system to set-up the Comper and compose fast but musical chord sequences using the chord and bass gate outputs taken from the module.

"The NOH-modular Oregano is a Eurorack LFO CV source with mix and random outputs for modular synthesizer. It has four independent LFOs with frequency control and range switch. Each LFO generates synced triangle and square waveforms, with a mixed output from two user-selectable triangle waves. Finally, there is a 4-bit DAC where each square wave is assigned a bit to create pseudo-random voltage."
