VINTAGE WURLITZER OMNI 6500 ANALOG DUAL KEYBOARD SYNTHESIZER SN 1264840

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

I believe this is the first WURLITZER OMNI 6500 to be featured on the site. It appears to mainly be a preset synth, but note the Flute, Synth Solo, and String Ensemble sections. Also note the Hohner badge.

via this auction

Here's an interesting bit of controller history not featured on the site before now.

Hillwood RD SONIC EP801 Vintage Preset Synth with Rhythm Section SN 450531

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

I believe this is the first one to be featured on the site.

Presets: Piano, Honky Tonk, Cembalo, Brass, and String.

"Up for sale is super rare RD SONIC Electronic Piano 801 / EP801 vintage analog electronic piano made in Japan by Hillwood.

The unit appears to be working reasonably well, I noticed 1C# and 4C# keys not responding with 2C# key having slightly bad contacts, but otherwise all the presets sounds and rhythm patterns play fine as I gave it a test. I have not tested the MIC input as I don't have a microphone to test with"

Rivera Music Systems (RMS) Modified Minimoog Ad

via Retro Synth Ads where you'll find the full write-up.

"Rivera Music Services 'The RMS Modified Minimoog' brochure from approximately 1981."

An interesting side note from the only other post on the site to mention Rivera Music Systems: "Aries was a modular synthesizer manufacturer founded by Frank Fink and was located in Salem Massachusetts US. They built high quality modular synths in both factory assembled and kit form. The modules of the ARIES modular system ware at the time manufactured by resident company RIVERA MUSIC (RMS)."

Published on Feb 25, 2017 BeatFlux Music

I believe this is the first post on the site to feature the Farfisa Syntorchestra 4. That's out of over 149,500 posts. This one is rare.

Seekers? Rare SKY Soundlab VoiceSpectra VOCODER SN AAB003898

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

OK, here's an interesting find. If you take a look at this post from 2012, you will see the same vocoder branded Seekers. You'll also find a demo video of it.

A funny side note: Some of you that followed the site early on may have remembered a gentleman by the name of Elhardt. He was a bit of a prankster who would release images of new product teasers. One was the Bahn Sage back in 2005, and his follow-up was the Seekers SMS 2000. People caught on to him with the Sage, so he likely went with Seekers as an unknown but verifiable brand, that or he just came up with the name by sheer coincidence.

Regal Rhythm RE 175 SN 2446

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

I believe this is the first post to feature Regal on the site. Just when you think you've seen it all, something like this pops up. Curious if Moby owns one.

"Rare, vintage drum machine! Cool little rhythm box, plugs into AC and out with a 1/4" jack and rock your rhythm section! The knob on the left turns it on and turns the temp up, right knob is volume. 6 rhythms, waltz, jazz, western, rock, Latin, and march. Supports a foot switch (not included, but probably any standard foot switch will work. Comes with a sticker on top that says 'try a little tenderness.'"

WALTER GIERS - ELECTRONIC ART

Published on Feb 7, 2017 Telekom Electronic Beats

"Visual art and electronic music regularly intertwines and with DJs and live acts like Moderat, Richie Hawtin and Dubfire to name a few, continuing to push the envelope in this area, this connection is getting deeper. Telekom Electronic Beats TV looked into this relationship and stumbled upon the work of visual and electronic art pioneer, inventor, visionary and unsung hero Walter Giers, who sadly passed away in 2016. Travelling to Schwäbisch Gmünd we uncovered some of the life and work of this late, great artist and learned where some of today’s visual artists are taking their cues.

Soviet Dx2500 Electronic Drums with SIMMONS Badge?

Here's an interesting item sent my way via Sergey Gerasimuk. It is featured on his site here. You'll find a few more pics there. It might have a SIMMONS badge on it, but it appears to be from the Ukraine? It's also featured on ruskeys.net here. If you know anything about this unit, please share.
