Nice moogish filter on the brass part and the strings sounds are not too bad either. They do use the same TCA350 BBD chipsets as other classic string machines like the Eminent Solina, Logan String Melody or Crumar Performer."

"Quick video of a SIEL Orchestra I just serviced, in order to demonstrate the differents sounds you can get out of this instrument.
Also sold as the ARP Quartet this keyboard offers 4 parts: Brass / Strings / Reed / Piano
Nice filter on the brass part and strings sounds are not too bad either. They do use the same TCA350 BBD chipsets as other classic string machines like the Eminent Solina, Logan String Melody or Crumar Performer.
I use a sustain, pedal as some point, mainly on the piano part.
Recorded dry and no treatment."

"Great vintage analog synthesizer that is in decent shape for its age. Everything is fully functional. As it sits, some of the sliders are a little scratchy when slid but can be exercised and freed from dust very easily. There a few that are slightly bent but does not affect functionality. There is one minor scratch on the face plate, not too noticeable and can only be seen under the right lighting. Tried to capture, see photo.
These are getting more rare. They have a great built in chorus, flange and useful eq.
The Brass section alone is worth it. Calling all collectors this is the only one on sale (online) at the moment."

"A super rare DK-700, the Siel flagship synthesizer released in 1986, equipped with a DIY Arduino interface to control all the synth parameters in real-time using TouchOSC on Android/iPad. The machine has been recently serviced by a professional technician and actually looks and sounds great.
Released in 1986, the DK-700 is the best and last synthesizer produced by the Italian SIEL right before the joint-venture with Roland Corporation and its subsequent turning into Roland Europe. The DK-700 has been on the market for less than one year so only few hundreds units were sold and this inspiring synthesizer never received the love it actually deserved.

V.A.I. 77 : CRB VOCO STRINGS / CRB COMPUTERBAND 2000 / SIEL CRUISE

"Combining two very rare oddballs - both manufactured by CRB Elettronica in the late 1970s : The CRB Computer Band 2000 and the CRB Voco Strings.
The Computer Band 2000 is an analog auto-accompaniment machine with a range of chord and arpeggiator sounds with decay controls, as well as a bass section and a drum machine with individually mutable sounds.
The Voco Strings is CRBs take on the Roland VP-330 - a string and vocoder machine. Were there any other commercially produced vocoders in Europe apart from this one and the Sennheiser VSM-201? Let us know in the comment section.
We're letting the CRB Voco strings process the Computer Band, via the regular audio input, while a third player, the Siel Cruise, a lovely Mono / Poly machine, is connected as an external carrier signal, via the instrument input.
More videos of this lovely combination will be going up soon.

"Really cool mono synth from 70s/80s with a preset section but also a manual section glorious filter and a bunch of tasty waveforms. Has a wicked "Animator" which is just a really really nice chorus. I used this as a bass machine in studio, but has really nice lead sounds as well! Love the filter section which can get really nasty and cool sounding.
Fully functional and in nice cosmetic condition as well! The portamento has a setting when you set it on zero(no portamento) that makes it monotone sometimes? But nudge it up a millimeter and works like normal.

"Looking at my price, you'll probably think: this is a scam. But it is not. The other 2 Expander 80's listed here on Reverb are twice my price and more. My argumentation is simple: I don't believe anyone, whether in his right mind or not, will give those asking prices for this instrument. Yes, it is a rare and rather unique module, but even so.... Anyway, anyone really wanting to give me in excess of € 1500 for this synth is of course very, very welcome.
To the point: this Expander 80 is mint. Not a scratch, not a spot of dust. Of course, fully functional. Comes with it's original power supply, which is already a rare feat."
