"Support my music, visit my Bandcamp !!

https://toddsmithmusic.bandcamp.com/

It's nice to have all my pieces of gear to select from to make music again, I did learn a few lessons while on limited gear. I tried WAY to hard to cram all my gear into all my jams. I kinda let the piece fall into place now and try not to 'force' anything.

The synthesizers used in this jam are The Korg Volca Keys, Korg Microkorg, Arturia Microbrute and Teenage Engineering PO-12. the Arturia Microbrute supplies the low end sub bass. Korg Volca Keys handles the synth lead sequence. Last but not least, the Teenage Engineering PO-12 gives the beat while I play the Korg Microkorg live.

Modular on the Spot Seattle 9.10.16 at Volunteer Park

Published on Sep 15, 2016 darksideothetune

"#modularonthespot Dark Side of the Tune plays the modular synthesizer live in the park.
Modular on the Spot began as an impromptu live modular synthesizer performance gathering organized by Bana Haffar and Eric (Rodent 516) Cheslak in Los Angeles, California. The idea is to bring people together to experience live modular in the context of the outdoors, away from clubs and studios. These events are entirely focused on modular synthesizers - no external gear such as laptops or drum machines are allowed.

This show has traveled to San Francisco, Atlanta, and Asheville, North Carolina for the recent Moogfest and is being presented in cooperation with Bradley Millington in Seattle at Gasworks Park on July 16th from 6-9PM.

Modular synthesizers let the artist mix and match function modules to create their own personal instrument. Hands on control and the ability to be re-routed by patch cables in whichever configuration the user chooses creates a personal sound. The results of the complex patches are often experimental by nature."

"Korg MS-10 is an analogue synthesizer created by Korg in 1978.[1] Unlike its bigger brother (The MS-20), the MS-10 only has one VCO. It is monophonic and has 32 keys. The MS-10 is well known for its huge sounding electro bass sounds."
