Additionally, they take a look at the new external mixer controls which allow the Digitakt to process external instruments through the built-in effects and compressor.

Other quality of life enhancements in Firmware Update 1.3 include an extended sample range to -60 semitones, Global FX/MIX settings which keeps your patterns consistent across projects, and several new notch-filters!

"So they finally did it. They added song mode to the digitakt, digitone and syntakt! I think a lot of people will be very pleased with this. Really cool to see that Elektron keeps updating their line-up with really major updates that keep the instruments alive and relevant yet again for years to come.

In this video I show you how the song mode works and how you can also use it in a creative way. There was also a major update to the firmware of Syntakt adding a lot of great functionality like Portamento, global fx settings, midi mod matrixes and a few other very useful features. Beyond the scope of this video, and the video I did record to showcase those functions was unfortunately ruined. So maybe next time :)

Mixing House and EDM Together With the Digitakt II and Syntakt

"I am fascinated by trying new ideas and breaking the rules to suit my musical needs. I used this video/audio for a project with Patreon inc, which is why there is less hands on with modulation. I had to record the video several times, and eventually i just stuck to getting to the end of the song.

This song is called "Shardonay." I wrote it mostly on the Digitakt I and later adapted it to the Digitakt II. It began with a sample from my guitar running through a Gamechanger Audio pedal. The track develops into EDM later on, with the Syntakt showcasing its colors. This was performed using the Performance Mixer 3.0, a template for the Octatrack mk1/mk2 that you can find via the links below.

I am working on the Digitakt 2, Syntakt, and the Octratrack MK2 as my performance mixer. I am also using the Push 3 as a voice processor and synthesizer.
