Marsona 1200

"Vintage Marsona 1200 sleep aid device. This unit is actually an analog white noise generator, such as you would find on many old analog synthesizers. The white noise is modulated to simulate rain, waterfalls, and surf. There is a knob to select between these sounds, as well as knobs to change the surf rate, surf range, tone, and volume. There is an onboard speaker, or the sound can be amplified (or run into effects pedals) through the 1/4"output. Everything is in perfect working order and the power cord is intact. This would make a nice addition to any drone/noise musician's rig, or it can help you catch some Z's."

Looks like something by danmcp or devowski.

turntable casio

flickr by devowski.

"latest keyboard... thing. controlled by a record player. in the arm of the turntable there are 3 photo cells (light sensors) that are wired into the circuitry of the casio. the record on the player has three red leds mounted on it... when the leds pass under the photo cells, it causes a glitch in the keyboard, making some stange noises."

Looks like he took it up a notch. This actually works:

"i built this mellotron for a sculpture class, each key plays a part of the intro to 'the power of love' by the legendary huey lewis and the news"

Post your favorite in the comments. So far mine is 3 with 5 a very close second.

Casio Rock - New Flickr Shot

flickr by devowski. I keep telling myself I'm going to skip the next shot by devowski and then he comes up with stuff like this. A Casio Rock. This brings a new meaning to the saying, dead weight.

Another via devowski. I'm begining to wonder when I might actually run into one of these in public. BTW, if you ever run into one of these or other in public and have a digital camera handy, send me a picture and I'll put up a post. I'll call it Synthspotting.
