"MERG-E is a sampler instrument for Reaktor 6.5, created for the exploration and transformation of audio through multiple simultaneous playheads (up to 8), loop memories, and a focused set of sound-shaping tools. Thanks to its Dynamic LAYERS system, it’s easy to move quickly between very different sonic results from lo-fi, broken, and tape-like textures to hyper-digital, chaotic, cinematic or minimal looping structures, all within a minimal interface designed to keep the focus on sound.

MERG-E is the result of a long process of experimentation around multi-playhead playback and loop manipulation, refined into a tool meant for fast, intuitive exploration with samples.

If you enjoy pushing recordings beyond their original context, I hope MERG-E finds a place in your workflow.

FEATURES:

- Create up to 8 Loop Slots to store different start and end points for the loaded sample

- Play Loop Slots or transpose them via MIDI notes

- Modulate Volume and Pan according to the playheads position

- Layer pitch can be quantized to preset intervals like Octaves, Fifths or Semitones, or fully shaped per layer using the Manual mode - Crush, Filter, Grain Delay with Pitch-shifting and Space effects

- VARIATE function to generate subtle sound variations or discover potential new sounds

- Includes 82 snapshots and 76 samples to explore and manipulate

- Optimized for real-time performance, allowing MIDI Learn and Automation on most parameters

- Light on CPU usage

What is MONTAG-E?

MONTAG-E is a granular sampling tool that allows for detailed manipulation of audio, ideal for creating sounds ranging from microsounds to abstract soundscapes, sound effects, ambiences, glitch, noisy textures and more. With four simultaneous granular playheads, the instrument allows for deep exploration of samples, creating anything from minimalistic to complex grain clouds. Additionally, its individual audio outputs are designed to create quadraphonic material, providing flexibility for multi-channel sound creation.
