Coming Soon : NerDie - inspired by SOMA RoAT (sound only, no words)

video upload by Diego Capoccitti

Follow-up to OktaDie and .

"No tutorial. No voiceover. No slides.

Just NerDie, a synth inspired by SOMA RoAT (Rumble of Ancient Times), played live, and the sound that comes out of it.

NerDie is an 8-bit noise synthesizer and sequencer — AAX, VST3, AU, AUv3 (iOS) and Standalone. The engine runs on integer uint8_t arithmetic at a fixed chip rate: overflow, wrap and quantization aren't simulated after the fact — they are the signal.

What you're hearing:

· 4 8-bit oscillators, 16 waveforms each, 19–1350 Hz
· 4 LFOs modulating pitch or level
· 3 mix topologies × 3 nodes × 8 algorithms = 1,536 ways to sum them
(addition, overflow, subtraction, ring mod, XOR, FM, waveshaping)
· Resonant 8-bit lowpass filter
· One-bar sequencer with overdub, master/slave clock
· CHAOS for instant chaos, drift for the slow kind, RND for a full patch
rendered and measured before it arrives — so it always plays
· 32 registers across 8 pages
· MPE: four oscillators, four voices — press, slide, strike and bend routed
through a matrix that decides what they move
· Pixel interface, two views: the panel, with hardware-style pot pickup,
and the matrix, with all 32 registers in sight for DAW work

Recorded in one take, no post-processing on the audio.

Headphones recommended.

Coming soon!

Formats: AAX · VST3 · AU · AUv3 · Standalone (macOS, Windows, iPad, iPhone)

OktaDie — Organismic Touch Synth on iPad | Drone Demo, No Talking

video upload by Diego Capoccitti

Follow-up to this post.

"OktaDie is an 'organismic' synthesizer for iPad: eight touch-sensitive voices, a cross-modulation matrix, a dual modulated delay and an overdrive — with no keyboard, no scale and no quantisation anywhere in the signal path. No talking in this video: just hands on the glass. Everything you hear is OktaDie running standalone on iPad (AUv3 plugin versions included), played entirely on the eight pads — no MIDI keyboard, no sequencer, no external processing.

🎛️ ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT
The eight generators are closer to a vintage electric organ than to a VCO. TUNE moves each voice continuously across a huge untempered range, SHARP morphs the waveform from triangle to square, and the envelope shapes pitch and waveform as it moves instead of just opening a VCA after it. Voices work in four pairs and two groups, each pair picking its own modulation source — another pair, the Hyper LFO, or the instrument's own output. TOTAL FB feeds the post-distortion signal back in and turns the whole machine, delay and drive included, into one giant FM structure. Noise, bleed and drift are features here, not defects: it never produces exactly the same sound twice.

👆 PLAYED BY TOUCH
Eight multitouch pads replace the keyboard. Play with several fingers at once, slide sideways to glide from one pad to the next, press harder to open the envelope further — OktaDie reads the contact area of your fingertip, and Apple Pencil pressure where available.

📱 iOS VERSION (iPhone & iPad)
Standalone app + two AUv3 extensions: OktaDie as an instrument and OktaDie FX to run your own audio through the delay, drive and feedback loop. Works in AUM, GarageBand, Cubasis, Drambo and Logic for iPad.

💻 DESKTOP VERSION (Mac & Windows)
Available in AU, VST3 and AAX formats for all major DAWs. Presets are shared with the iOS version.

Playlist:

1. OktaDie, plugins and iOS app inspired by LYRA-8 ....Coming soon! #synth #sounddesign
"Eight touch-sensitive voices, a cross-modulation matrix, a dual modulated delay and an overdrive — no keyboard, no scale, no quantization anywhere.
It drifts on its own and never makes the same sound twice.

The plugin will be available on Mac, Windows and iPad.
VST3 / AU / AAX / AUv3, instrument and FX.

Coming Soon on! https://www.diegocapoccitti.it"
2. SwarmaDie 2 — Swarmatron (Unofficial) Emulator Plugin | Overview & Demo (VST3 / AU / AAX)
SwarmaDie 2 is an unofficial emulator of the legendary Swarmatron analog synthesizer, available as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin for Mac and Windows. The Swarmatron is iconic for its hypnotic, swarming sound — multiple oscillators slightly detuned against each other, creating that signature ethereal drone. Made famous by artists like Jonny Greenwood, it's a rare and expensive hardware piece. SwarmaDie 2 brings that unique character straight into your DAW at an affordable price. MUSIC: "Hollow Light — Piano & Swarmatron (SwarmaDie 2 Demo)" (Diego Capoccitti - 2026)
3. SwarmaDie 2 iOS — Raw Screen & Audio Capture on iPad (Swarm Synth Jam)

4. JenDie — The JEN SX-1000 Reborn on iPad | Analog Synth Plugin Test
JenDie is an analog synthesizer inspired by the legendary JEN SX-1000 — the iconic Italian mono synth of the late '70s — faithfully recreated with its warm, gritty and unmistakable vintage character.

In this video you can see JenDie running on iPad, tested in standalone (also AUv3 plugin available!), showing how easy it is to bring that classic analog tone into a modern mobile setup. Plug in, play, and enjoy pure vintage synth vibes — anywhere.

🎛️ ABOUT THE PLUGIN
JenDie captures the soul of the JEN SX-1000: rich oscillators, a characterful filter and that raw, organic analog warmth that made the original a cult classic. Perfect for basslines, leads, retro sequences and anyone chasing that authentic vintage synth sound.
5. AlchemDie — Make Noise Strega (Unofficial) Emulator | Overview & Demo (VST3 / AU / AAX)
AlchemDie is an unofficial emulator of the "alchemical" Make Noise Strega, available as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin for Mac and Windows.

Inspired by the mysterious and esoteric hardware designed by Make Noise in collaboration with Alessandro Cortini, AlchemDie is more than a synthesizer: it’s a laboratory for sonic experimentation. It transforms a simple digital oscillator into an unpredictable, evolving sound machine by routing its output through a feedback delay experiment that blurs the line between synthesis, processing, and noise.

From haunting drones to screeching feedback and organic textures, AlchemDie brings that unique "strega" soul straight into your DAW at an affordable price.

MUSIC: "Nigredo (AlchemDie Demo)" (Diego Capoccitti - 2026)

⚙️ KEY FEATURES:

Tonic Oscillator: Includes a sub-harmonic generator and continuous waveform morphing.
Vactrol-style Activation: VCA with asymmetric slew response for organic, acoustic-like behavior.
Time/Filter Loop: BBD-style delay emulation with dynamic lowpass and feedback.
Agitation Function: Generator with continuous trapezoid modulation to stir the sound.
Gesture Pads: Six momentary pads for multi-parameter macro control and performance.
External Substance: Input for processing external audio through the alchemical engine.
Character Section: Analog-style tape companding and stereo width controls.
6. DroneDie — Grendel Drone Commander Classic (Unofficial) Emulator | Overview & Demo (VST3 / AU / AAX)
DroneDie is an unofficial emulator of the legendary Grendel Drone Commander Classic, available as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin for Mac and Windows.

The Grendel Drone Commander Classic is a cult hardware drone synthesizer, beloved in experimental, industrial, and noise music for its raw, abrasive, hypnotic character — a machine that turns simple oscillators into visceral sonic textures. Rare, quirky, and deeply expressive, it occupies a unique niche that no conventional synth can fill.

DroneDie brings that savage analog soul straight into your DAW at an affordable price.

MUSIC: "Axiom (DroneDie Demo)" (Diego Capoccitti - 2026)

⚙️ KEY FEATURES:

Inspired by the original hardware's raw oscillator behavior and gritty drone character
Simple, intuitive interface optimized for modern DAWs
7. DroneDie for iOS: Unedited RAW Live Demo & Jam in iPad (AUv3)
