8 Patches with Boundary Layer by Schlappi Engineering
video upload by Stazma
"New Schlappi Engineering module alert!!!!
Welcome the Boudary Layer, a triple cycling slew acting as a powerhouse of modulation, audio mayhem, and obscure modular tricks in the tradition of Serge DUSG, the Make Noise Maths, our own Boundary, and others while also bringing a few new things to the table.
I'll show you some of my favorite patches with it, most can apply to other similar modules so it might interesting to anyone.
Have fun!"
Schlappi Engineering BOUNDARY LAYER / triple function generator / extensive playthrough
video upload by BRiES
"BOUNDARY LAYER by @SCHLAPPIENGINEERING is an apex triple function generator for eurorack. It has all the tricks up its sleeves and (as usual) is just a joy to work with due to it's well thought out interface and versatile feature set.
In this video I tried getting across how damn useful function generators are, how BOUNDARY LAYER works and how much fun it is to make patches with the module.
I hope you enjoy the video."

Boundary Layer is a triple cycling slew acting as a powerhouse of modulation, audio
mayhem, and obscure modular tricks. Each of the channels can act individually as:
-a modulation oscillator
-voltage controlled slew (including portamento)
-AR/AD envelope (decay or release determined by choice of input).
All three channels are tied together by three global inputs, as well as three outputs which select the MAX, MID, and MIN of all three voltages. Using different combinations at audio rate allows for patch programmable stereo drone synth capabilities.
Features
3 separate channels
3 global inputs
3 combined outputs MAX/MID/MIN
Oscillates from low LFO rate (a minute?) to audio rate (>10kHz with exponential feedback)
A CV input switchable between RISE/FALL/BOTH
Bound input for simultaneous control over cycling rate and amplitude
TRIG input for AD envelopes
SLEW input for AR envelopes and portamento or filtering
EOC ouput header switchable between EOR and EOF
16 HP
Skiff friendly 32mm depth (including cable)
current draw: +12V 170mA, -12V 100mA

Schlappi Engineering Introduces BTFLD
BTFLD Overview video upload by SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING
"The BTFLD (pronounced Bit Fold) can be used as a unique wavefolder or a hands on logic module for generating rhythms from LFOs or envelopes."
Hello BTFLD - 4-Bit audio / cv mangler - Schlappi Engineering
video upload by Stazma
'Today I'll show you some stuff with the new module by Schlappi Engineering, the BTFLD! It's the new member of the 4-Bit logic family by Schlappi Engineering but this one is the most audio oriented as it's main use are wavefolding, fuzz and distortion. It's small but hell it sounds BIG. It can also make weird things to CV and gates, and even be used to convert any signal into 4-Bit so you can use it to modulate / feed your other 4-Bit modules (Nibbler / BTMX)."

BTFLD (Bit Fold) is a distortion, wavefolder, and four bit asynchronous analog to digital converter. The folding output at audio rate provides a hard sync like timbre in a unique sawtooth wavefolder circuit.
The stepped output is a type of bit crushed effect and the square wave outputs provide different frequency multiplications or distortions.
Rhythms can also be generated by putting envelopes or LFOs into the input and using the bit outputs as gates.
It can also be paired with the rest of our four bit binary system (Nibbler, BTMX) for experiments in four bit computing and unusual logic based patching.
Features
6 related outputs
Unique wavefolding circuit
Switched range for bipolar audio signals or unipolar modulation signals
Acts as distortion/wavefolder or rhythm generator depending on input
4 bit binary output interfaces with other logic modules
LED indication for every input and output
6 HP

BTMX by Schlappi Engineering - Demo
video upload by Stazma
"Today I'll show you some stuff with the new module by Schlappi Engineering, the BTMIX!
Lot's of fun stuff do with this one when it comes to control or loose control of your rhythms and create weird stepped voltages patterns. From gate hub to audio rate mangling."
"BTMX (BitMix) gives hands on control over logic and rhythmic gate signals with a switch for every input and 4 different logic functions.

It pairs well with the Nibbler, other 4 bit logic modules, or any modules that generates gates (such as clock dividers and sequencers) and can also be used at audio rates.
Features
8 switched inputs
4 dual input logic functions (AND, OR, ADD, XOR)
4 gate outputs
1 stepped output
LED indication for every input and output
Works at LFO and audio rate
8 HP
Current consumption: +12v 26mA, -12V 10mA"

Volume & Panning | Schlappy Patching with Stazma
video upload by SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING
"Episode 7 for Schlappy Patching!
Today we talk volume. Might seem boring but changing the volume of a sound over time result in dynamic, and it is actualy quite awesome! Also if you can change the level of something on one side of the stereo field, you get "panning" effect, without the need of a pan pot on a stereo mixer (you need two VCAs instead). Anyway we'll explore things volume related, using a drum mahcine and some sounds generated by the Three Body, mostly using Nibbler for stepped modulations.
Have fun watching!"

Talking Filters | Schlappy Patching with Stazma
video upload by SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING
"Episode 6 for Schlappy Patching!
Do you know how to make filters talk? It’s fun and one of my favorite patches to do with modular synthesizer, because of the amount of control you can have on the talking.
In this new episode of Schlappy Patching I’ll give it a go with the 100 Grit and Angle Grinder, the two filters of the Schlappi Engineering echo system.
Do you have a favorite talking filter?
Have fun watching!"

SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING Introduces Nibbler Four Bit Digital Accumulator Module
Overviewvideo upload by SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING
"The Nibbler is a module about exploring the musicality of counting in binary."
Meet the Nibbler by Schlappi Engineering
video upload by Stazma
An introduction to the Nibbler by Schlappi Engineering
video upload by Stazma
via SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING
"**This is technically a preorder but modules should ship by the end of the year, we should also have pictures of the silver version by Dec 18th**
The Nibbler is a four bit digital accumulator based on CMOS logic. This means that it counts in binary from zero to fifteen, with inputs and outputs for individual bits as well as stepped voltage outputs (digital to analog converters). It does this with individual logic chips instead of a CPU.
The concept here is that counting in binary (and its expression in bits) is inherently musical, and with slow clock speeds we can use it to create both rhythms and modulation voltages (or melodies). At audio rate we can generate subharmonics and modem-like sounds (or noise).
Features
5 rhythmically related gate outputs (or audio rate square waves)
2 stepped voltage outputs
Second stepped voltage has selectable phase offset
Cherry MX Brown switch for reset
4 gate inputs for modulation
Chainable using carry in and out
Reset input can be used as hard sync at audio rate
Subtract input can add variation to sequences
Synchronous and asynchronous output modes
Shift register functionality
CMOS logic deisgn
12 HP
Skiff friendly 28mm depth (35mm including cables)
POWER DRAW: +12V 37mA, -12V 17mA"
