The Roland TR-808 is labeled as Juan Atkins, father of Detroit Techno. The KORG SQD-1 Sequencer is labeled as Kevin Saunderson's, used to make "Big Fun." That would definitely be a little bit of history right there.

"Cheers man. The photo was taken in the exhibition room of Submerge records in Detroit. The equipment was all used by Detroit producers (and some of it still in use - see the 303 note)."
