Oberheim Upgrade for the Minimoog?

via old socks and new toys:

"I bought mine for about $300 from Hirsch Gardner at Daddy's Junky Music (MAIL ORDER!) around 1990. If I remember correctly he was selling it for a friend, he was told something about how it had had some sort of Tom Oberheim upgrade, whatever that might have been has been lost in my memory banks."

Anyone know more about this upgrade?

Cyclus 3 Sequencer

via the Techno section of NAMM Oddities 2008, the Spectral Audio Cyclus 3. You can find more info including specifications in this previous post.

"This gives you an updated control for vintage-style sequencing. One of the nice features is that each of the tracks can have a different length so your sequence mutates as the individual tracks loop at different points."

BTW, do check out the NAMM Oddities site for some of the bizarre items from this year's NAMM. I wouldn't call the Cyclus 3 odd, but only seeing it on the Oddities site so far is... kind of odd. Hmm...
