Vermona DRM1 MKII Analog Drum Synthesizer

images via this auction
"The DRM1 MKII is an eight-channel, completely analog drum synthesizer. It gives you total control over every parameter through its 72 controls.

Each channel features specific parameters for generating a certain kind of drum and/or percussive sound. They are divided into:

- three DRUM channels
- one MULTI channel
- one SNARE channel
- two HI HAT / CYMBAL channels
- one CLAP channel

In addition to the main stereo output, every channel is also equipped with an individual output / insert jack, which allows you to insert external effects.

Each channel has its own output/insert jack on the front panel. The rear panel features the master output (L/R), as well as the MIDI IN and THRU jacks. The DRM1 MKII has an integrated power supply.

The design and construction of the chassis makes it possible to use the DRM1 MKII either in a 19" rack (5U) or as a tabletop unit with the front panel tilted on a convenient angle.

The DRM1 MKII can be triggered via MIDI - MIDI channel and note number can be freely assigned."

"Composition: Oram Hahn

My friend made a really cool track for his music project - it's stuck in my head, so I went about recreating it on old analog synthesizers - soon I hope to make more videos about them and how this all works :)

Program: Logic 7
Synthesizers:
Akai AX73
Roland HS-60 (Juno)

Doepfer VCF as Spectral Gate

Doepfer VCF as Spectral Gate from Ben Cameron on Vimeo.
"This video demonstrates the 24db and LP of the multi-mode filter being triggered by fast ADSRs to use them as spectral gates of sorts rather than routing the VCO sine waves through the VCA. It also demonstrates the S&H being used as a random note length modulator by varying the filter frequency of one of the 2 filters used."

Carbon111's Pro-One Restoration Project

Inside a Sequential Circuits Pro-One.

"A few months back I got very lucky on an eBay auction. Someone had listed a Sequential Circuits Pro-One in a slightly strange category with an absurd "buy it now" price and I snagged it for less than $200, shipped!

When it arrived, I realized it would be a bit of work. It was really filthy with layers of dust and someone had marked his favorite knob positions on the panel with ruby sparkle nail polish! The key bushings were dried out pretty badly, the output jack was damaged and there were some scratchy pots and coarse-moving switches. Worst of all, the pitchwheel was broken in half!"

Flame Clockworks Demo 1

"A quick preview of an upcoming series on the Flame Clockworks. I'm using it to drive 3 sounds on an Alesis SR16 drum machine via the MIDI out and using the CV outs to control the the gate and filter cutoff on the TinMan (homebrew modular synth)"
