Tenori-on with Spring Reverb
YouTube via pepemogt
"This is a track i did just using the internal factory sounds of the Tenori-on itself, no external samples, midi or multitrack, i just add an external reverb (Retroverb) and an analog delay.
Enjoy!" http://www.myspace.com/pepemogt
Buzz Ambience: buchla 200e funky I
YouTube via otisvue
"thru sheer happenstance I got a patch that was genuinely funky (in a slow groove way), which impressed the heck out of me. unfortunately due to tech difficulties the gain is so low it's strictly ambient. but the buchla's signature flashing LEDs are shown to good affect. FOLLOWING: 2 subsequent evolutions of same patch."

"Some nice buzzing going on now - and if nothing else this video shows how difficult it can be to tweak the 200e controls once you've got a whack of cables patched in."

Tom Oberheim on Red Bull Music Academy
Lecture: Tom Oberheim (Barcelona 2008) from Red Bull Music Academy on Vimeo.
via the Red Bull Music Academy. via JB. Also see this post on Don Buchla."Tom Oberheim
Oberheim Electronics, San Francisco, USA
Starting out in the music electronics business in the late ‘60s, early ‘70s by building legendary devices for Maestro and using his storefront to sell ARP synthesizers..., Tom Oberheim went on to shape the development of music equipment – and the sound of popular music – like very few other people. Actually, for a time in the ‘80s it seemed like it was just about impossible to have a hit without an Oberheim DMX or OB–Xa, as anyone from Run DMC to Van Halen relied heavily on those machines. Sometime later the Oberheim company was sold, but Tom Oberheim went on to develop more groundbreaking products, like the Marion Rack Synthesizers and some groundbreaking soundcard systems with SeaSound. It seems like he never lost the enthusiasm he felt when he first started working with computers in the ‘50s, all while keeping a decidedly consumer friendly outlook: 'My philosophy in building music equipment has always been not to try to second-guess the musician.'"
nutcracker suite lp synthesizer 1977
YouTube via wb5oxq. "a london phase 4 recording"
Anyone know anything more about this one? What synths were used?
Update via Kittenpurse in the comments:
"It's Kraft & Alexander's Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture/Nutcracker Suite album, a brilliant release easily as good as any Walter Carlos classical interpretation.
See http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/peter_tchaikovsky/1812_overture___nutcracker_suite___kraft_and_alexander_/
The album cover states 'performed on the ARP synthesizer' I can't remember if there are any more details on the rear, but I don't think so."
