New England Digital (NED) Synclavier II Instruction Manual - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction

"Fascinating reading: the mammoth original instruction manual for the NED Synclavier II. One owner (Ed Starink - whose sticker is on the front cover). Complete, and in very good condition except for a little kink at the top left of the cover - visible in the photo. Hundreds of pages - you can tell by the weight of 2.6kg just what a monster this is! Packing £2."

Synclavier docs 2.0-2.2,2.8,3.0,3.1 via this VEMIA auction
"Original documentation for the Synclavier release 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.8, 3.0, 3.1. From Ed Starink - duplicates of the documentation for his Synclavier 3200."

Oberheim OB-Mx - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"Immaculate condition OB-Mx, fully expanded with 12 voices. OS version 1.04, which has had a bad press but seems stable and efficient to me in this machine. All voices seem exceptionally well matched and very well-behaved. In contrast the installed factory presets are generally pretty lame - brash without being exciting, and very badly matched in overall volume. Without onboard effects, most of them sound pretty uninspiring. But playing with the complex and powerful cross-modulations, and using the 12 individual outs, this is a powerful synth which justifies the tag 'Designed by Don Buchla'. Uses standard IEC plug, not included. With original user manual in excellent condition. One owner (Ed Starink) from new."

Waldorf Pulse - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"Super condition, perfect front panel, just a couple of minor racking marks on the top, invisible once in a rack. Sounds great and works perfectly. One owner from new (Ed Starink). With original German user manual, and external power supply (possibly not original, but correctly specified)."

Clavia Nord Rack Virtual Analog Synth - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"Absolutely beautiful condition, great working order, great sound, one owner from new (Ed Starink) - the extremely capable Nord Rack. With the rack ears (removed for safe transport), a 64K SRAM memory card, and a Nord Lead owner's manual. Plus the Nord Lead / Rack software v. 2.x update supplement - this Rack has been upgraded to v2, as you can tell by the extra stickers on the front panel."

Roland JP-8080 - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction

"Excellent condition JP-8080, one-owner (Ed Starink), with an equally good condition original user manual. A little dusty in places (see the photo) but everything we tested worked perfectly."

Fairlight CMI V3**10, April 1983 Operation Manual - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction

"Original Fairlight Users Manual from April 1983. In good condition, although a little dog-eared around the comb binding. From Ed Starink, one owner from new."

Akai ME80P - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"Very capable MIDI router and merge, one owner from new (Ed Starink) in excellent cosmetic condition (just some scratches on the top, not visible once racked). With original owner's manual and some copied patch sheets. Not fully tested, so sold as seen, but the display is wonderfully clear, and up and down buttons work like new."

"Another excellent-looking example of these capable MIDI router / merge units, not thoroughly tested but seeming to be in good working order. One owner (Ed Starink)."

Yamaha RX5 - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"Yamaha's flagship drum machine, in very good condition, with the original (very heavy-duty) power supply, and the original user manual, plus a RAM cartridge with Yamaha's 28 extra sounds on it.... all with an opening bid of 30 GBP. How times change. Actually, the cartridge comes up with an error message - 'CARTRIDGE NOT READY', so either I was doing something wrong, or maybe the cartridge has lost its memories. Some marking on the instrument pads, but generally very good condition. From Ed Starink, one owner from new."

Yamaha VL1m

via this VEMIA auction
"Excellent example of the classic virtual acoustic synthesizer, still practically unchallenged 14 years after its invention. Version 2, with the extra algorithms, microtunings etc. etc.. One owner from new (Ed Starink), and in beautiful near-mint condition - the photo doesn't do it justice, showing up some finger-marks that you don't see normally at all. With all original owner's manuals - Getting Started, Feature Reference, version 2, version 2 Voice Lists and MIDI data, etc.. Includes the magnificent Sitar factory patch which is one of the best synth presets ever devised."

Roland JD990 - VEMIA

via this VEMIA auction
"In absolutely superb condition, cosmetically and functionally. One owner (Ed Starink). Expanded with the orchestral card; complete with both original user manuals and patchlist. Supplied with European plug on (non-captive) unearthed lead - or to put it slightly more more clearly, that means that it comes with a lead like an old transistor radio at the synth end (little figure-of-eight-shaped thing) and a euro two-pin plug at the wall end. Adaptors for that two-pin plug are widely available in England, or the whole lead can easily and cheaply be bought with an English or American or Japanese plug."

and via this VEMIA auction
"Sounding great, one owner, but not quite as perfect condition as most of Ed Starink's stuff: a couple of minor dings on the top edge, which might just still be visible in the rack. Still very very good compared with most of the JD-990s in the world!"
