Holiday Posts

Just a heads up. If you have any Christmas, Hanukkah, or other holiday posts feel free to send them in. Let me know when you'd like them to go up as well. I'm saving some of the Christmas ones for either Christmas day or Christmas eve. To help me please put the holiday name in the subject. You can find my contact info on the bottom right of the site. And remember the rule - all posts have to feature a synth or two meaning you have to be able to ID the synth either visually or via audio. If you send in holiday music, be sure to list the synth gear and what they are playing in the track.

Frostwave Interview via VICMOD

VICMOD: Frostwave interview
(click for the full interview)

"Paul Perry is the man behind Frostwave. The mad scientist creator of modular analogue effects like the Funkaduck, Sonic Alienator, Space Beam and Fat Controller which have been used by almost anyone you know into synths or effect pedals.

I fired up my microphone fed it into the Sonic Alienator and ask him questions."

Oberheim OB-8 & Moog MicroMoog

YouTube via officialmikethompson
"Playing a new song I wrote called "She's On Her Way" on my Oberheim OB-8 and Moog MicroMoog (instrumental only). Please pardon the mistakes - it's a pain to play the OB keys because they suck (otherwise excellent, quality synthesizer). You can hear the original song on my SoundClick page: www.soundclick.com/mikethompson."
