mini controller working.mov
YouTube via ChromeTuna. MFOS Mini-Controller.
"I finally got my 1v/oct mini controller working.....like so many things, the problem that had me stumped turned out to be pretty simple.
I still don't know exactly what it was. Maybe a battery clip was faulty somehow? I don't know.
But I un-soldered the batteries, made a new battery harness out of new clips, put it together the EXACT same way I had before and soldered it on....and woohoo, it works."

Sweet MIDI Arpeggiator - freeware

With this program, you can change the arpeggio direction, number of octaves, and length of the arpeggiated notes. You can also modify the rhythm values of the arpeggiated notes and add another arpeggio object by choosing the same MIDI channel for the object."
JD-800 used with a virtual arpeggiator
"I wondered when I bought my JD-800 whether anyone had come up with a solution to using it as an arpeggiator. With a little digging around online I found one.
The 'Sweet midi arpeggiator' is free and can be downloaded, find it via google. It enables you to send out a midi signal to the software which then returns the midi signal back to the JD-800 arpeggiated. It works in real time so it's as if the JD-800 itself has an onboard arpeggiator. Now everyone that moans that the JD-800 would have been better with one can finally shut up."
You can also use Techno Toys and others on KVR. BTW if you haven't checked out KVR for software, check it out now. It's THE online database for audio software, virtual instruments and controllers.

Roland MC-909 & Korg Kaoss Pad 3, meditative ambient india style
YouTube via beckhusen
"This is the 3rd project which i made with my new Roland MC-909 Groovebox. This time i combined it with the Korg Kaoss Pad and routed 2 sample patches from the MC-909 to the Kaoss Pad.
The style may be unusually for a Groovebox, i'm still exploring the possibilities and don't want to join only the bum-bum section."
