Moog 55 for Sale

via the AH archives:
"After a strong brainstorming I have decided to sell a great piece of hystory...This is a Unique custom Moog 55 modular system that was serviced in 1993 directly by Bob Moog. It is FULLY working and tested, used often and all the knobs, switches are absolutely perfect! The sale inlcuses a lot of original accessories: R.A. 950 Keyboard, R.A. Ribbon controller, Moog percussion controller, full set lot of original Moog 55 coloured patch cables + S-trig cables, original user + service manuals, original replacements parts: lamps, knobs, rocker switch, cinch jones plugs and some sequencer switches. The shape conditions are MINT! the down + up cabinets are original. The price that I ask is of 43000 that justifies the high quality, the excellent conditions and his unique custom module composition... 3x Moog filters + coupler and "the Best of" R.A: Moog Vco 901. Another factor: I have his two wood padded big boxes for the transport. I can trade in part with only EMS, Buchla, Polyfusion, Arp 2500 stuff."

This came in today. For contact info search the AH archives.

Understanding Chords

YouTube via ChordicaRevolution
"This video shows how simple it is to compose RPG-type game music on the Chordica once you understand and appreciate a powerful way of forming chords.

The Chordica is actually capable of 23760 chord voicings."

via Joash in the comments of this post:
"Did you know that you can play a total of 7920 possible chords with just two fingers on the Chordica? Or that it's really easy to compose a simple background music track for battles in RPG games like Final Fantasy?"

ThingamaDome Thingamagoop

via this auction

"one-of-a-kind thingamakit built into an attractive green dome with green extension speaker on a tripod. Bend the lovely LEDacles, turn the hefty knobs, point the speaker, enjoy the light show. Inside the dome are two ping pong balls that blink opposite the LEDacles. You can leave the pingpong balls under the dome for a soft green glow or bring them out to hypnotize. Tripod and external cone speaker dispersal unit also inlcuded. Speaker unplugs so you can use the output jack for recording or amplification. Squirrels are hypnotized by the sound and light combo."

ELI CompuRhythm BeatBox CR-7030

via this auction

"original ELI CompuRhythm BeatBox CR-7030. In 100% working shape and great looking shape. Sounds very much like a Roland CR-68 or CR-78. Inside it has half a dozen internal trim pots if you want to mod it. It even has some unused points on the board for the Clave. I don't know if it's for adding a volume control or it's own output jack. How can you go wrong with great rhythms like "Dodmpa" and "Bolalo" or the crazy "Haba Neba?""

SubDecay Noise Box Bass Synth

YouTube via bigcitymusic. Big City Music on Ebay
"Holy cow. This pedal is awesome. We're pretty sure is some sort of syncing squarewave but whatever it is, it kicks butt. There's a lot of unheard tones in this guy. The built in envelope is a great shaping tool. Oh man. We can't wait to run some synths through this!"

MeggySynth Synched w/ Arduino Waveshield

flickr by dariusk
"I've got the MeggySynth synchronized with an Arduino Waveshield, which has been preloaded with some slices of the Amen break. The MeggySynth is communicating via serial port with the Waveshield, and is triggering samples to be played on the Waveshield. The pattern is stored on the Meggy itself, since the Waveshield is sorely lacking in free ROM/RAM.

Synchronization is still a little wonky. But I kind of like the stuttering sound. Other samples (like simple kicks and snares) sound better, but less interesting."
