Sound Builders: Peaking Lights Are Teasing Lo-Fi Musical Magic From DIY Gear
via Motherboard.TV
"Our new series Soundbuilders travels to Madison, Wisconsin to visit Peaking Lights, a married musical duo famed for their pulsating looped-rhythm tracks composed on re-purposed scraps, stereos, and lo-fi gear. We watch as husband and wife prepare for tour by paring their studio down to the bare essentials needed to produce Peaking Lights’ distinctive sound.
While we were hanging out, we got a peek into Aaron’s completely untechnical, yet highly rigorous process of Frankensteining long forgotten consumer electronics. Using the most unassuming hunks of wood, metal, and plastic, Peaking Lights produce surprising and highly personal results"

Piston Honda - Pulse Wavetable Morph Test from Richard Devine on Vimeo.
"Here is a little patch test I created today with the Harvestman Piston Honda, and two Hertz Donuts. One Donut was the kickdrum, and the other was the digital snare/high hat. All controlled by a TipTop Z-8000, and MakeNoise Pressure points. Just a simple test, to hear how the waveforms can morph in a basic rhythmic pattern."
Musikmesse: The Mochika is Back!
via AtomoSynth"Hello world, it is the new Mochika v2.1 ... the same savage analog sound, now with a mutant vactrol low pass filter... lets jam!!!"

I'm guessing this isn't at the Musikmesse, but again, all synth news posts will get the header and label so you don't miss it. If a ton comes in like during NAMM, I'll create a NOT Musikmesse header like I did for NOT NAMM.

"DOWNLOAD THE SOUNDBANK HERE: http://jayb.ath.cx
As promised a new update with more sounds for the Roland V-Synth as well as some guitar amp demos using the internal MFX Amp Simulation. I know I'm far not the best guitarist, but it's enough for the demos and my productions. :)
Enjoy!"

Polyphonen Analogen Modularsynthesizer von FDB
FDB Modular Synthesizer
Googlish translation from German:
"It is a Polyphonic analog modular synthesizer from FDB. The synthesizer is from the 70s and as it looks ultra-rare.
Unfortunately I can not say much about this synth. I bought it because I thought I could rebuild it using one PRO2 Kenton on MIDI, but unfortunately it is not possible. Since the piano, I'm not powerful, so MIDI-dependent, I can do with the FDB nothing.
A black and a white button has no function. Where or how the voice input or output benefit, I can not say. I connected it again with the pedal input on the back, and behold the sound has changed. What one does with it is exactly, unfortunately I do not knows.
The sound is very musical way, departed quite beautiful, warm and fat. Depending on where you plugged in the cable and where to turn, changes the sound extreme.
The synth is polyphonic with many possibilities (see pictures).
The dimensions are L = 98cm D = 41cm H = 31cm and 23kg
The condition is super and the age appropriate as far as I can tell, the device is functional."
