"The Emulator II is a responsive, surprisingly easy-to-use musical instrument with staggering creative possibilities. It’s also a sound effects designer’s dream come true, a composer’s personal orchestra, a recording studio’s chance to have hundreds of acoustic and electronic instruments “on call” at any time, a university’s research tool...but most of all, it provides the means for some truly special musical experiences.

CASIO VL-1 Glitch Synthesizer By Dave Squidfanny

via this auction

" * Screaming Feedback Oscillator - Phat Sweepable Oscillator.
* Mental Glitch Knob - Use with rhythms for mental Glitch sounds.
* Drum-Synth LFO switch (two settings) - Use the preset rhythms to modulate the instruments.
* Pitch envelope knob - Light pitch/instrument modulation.
* Pitch Knob - Lower the master pitch for super deep basslines.

Faulty screen has been replaced with an array of super-cool flashing LED lights...

Custom Metallic paint job using Metallic Green & Titanium colours and finnishing with a few coats of high quality lacquer.

This Casio VL-1 comes with it's original box, user manual, songbook and faux leather case (new knobs prevent the machihe from fitting in the leather case). The machine was virtually brand new when I got it, and I don't think it was ever removed from the box more than a couple of times.

There's plenty of minor blemishes on the paint if you look closely enough, but nothing too major. Condition is described as 'Used but Good'.

This machine functions perfectly as a musical instrument, but can no longer be used as a calculator due to the missing LCD screen.

This VL-1 DOES have it's original battery cover :-)"
