"The latest Monome Community Remix Project is underway and I began my work with a monome app that I've never used before. It's called "xor".

Once I'd figured out the basics of the app I selected three samples that were semi-in-tune with each other. Then I recorded a jam with each of the samples in xor and filmed the results with my camera. After I finished recording, I imported the video and audio into final cut pro and edited each performance down to about 2-3 minutes.

Then, I basically threw caution to the wind and layered them on top of each other willy-nilly, without any concern for whether they'd match at all. Either way it didn't matter to me. This was my experiment. I would see the results at the very end.

It ended up turning out pretty cool and interesting. There are moments where they all work together making interesting rhythms and there are times where they clash.

The Syle Green Filter- Synth Envelope Filter

"The Syle Green Filter pedal. This is a very interesting and fun filter with a ton of weird sounds- not your traditional envelope filter. More like a synth pedal, with a fuzz included in the filter sound. This pedal is used and is cosmetically in excellent condition. I have noticed that when using this with my active basses there is a "popping" sound when the filter engages. The sound is not present when I used my passive instruments. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or a design flaw, and because of this I am selling the pedal AS-IS."

The fsr-4 is synthwerks' first release in it's upcoming series of modules based on force sensing resistor (fsr) technology. these modules translate the pressure the performer applies to the sensing pads to user adjustable scaleable control voltage and adjustable threshold dependent gate signal. the fsr-4 has four identical circuits and can produce four independent pressure outputs. the pressure sensors are non-capacitance based, respond to any direct pressure, are not affected by skin resistance, and never need cleaning or polishing. you can even play them while wearing gloves or by pressing on them with other objects. rubber pads and other textured surfaces can be placed on top of the sensors to make a user defined custom feel to the playing surface. internal jumpers allow any of one the 4 channel gate or pressure outputs to be routed to the standard cv and gate bus (only one of each should be connected this way). the module is 16hp in width."

"The VC-FC is a unique forward compressor in the sense that all compressor parameters can be voltage controlled from the external modulation sources by CV inputs. It gives a lot of possibilities for an instant change of compressors character by CV signals from analogue sequencers or other CV generating devices. The external devices, such as filters can be also inserted in to the Side Chain of the compressor for frequency dependend gain reduction.

MODE/ variable threshold The threshold from which incoming signal is compressed is variable in the range from -15 to +15 dB.
MODE/ constant threshold. The gain of the compressor is variable in the range of +24 to -6 dB with a fixed output level at +6 dB at maximal ratio.
KNEE
Knee can be set for a sharp or soft character of gain reduction ((imitates the vintage opto compressors gain reduction)
by manual selector or by CV signal with two states; 0 for sharp knee and +2 Volts to 10 Volts for soft knee.
RATIO
The compression angle is variable (by knob) or by CV signal from OFF (no compression) to limiting (almost infinite compression)
ATTACK and RELEASE
Attack and release time are controllable by knobs or by CV signals in a wide range for all possible musical applications.
The Attack Time; from 200usec's to 250 msec's and The Release Time; from 20msec's to 8 sec's.
MAKEUP GAIN
The Makeup Gain is controlled by knob or by CV signal in the range from -15 dB to +15 dB"

"This is a 1969 Maestro Model MRK-2 'Rhythm King' Rhythm Machine. Made in USA by Gibson Inc, Lincolnwood, Ill. USA. Serial #15314.

Features and Problems: 18 Pre-programmed 'Rhythms'. (7) Latin, (8) American and (3) Traditional. Controls for: 'Volume', 'Balance' and 'Speed/Metronome'. Lighted On/Off rocker switch. Eight additional 'momentary' black switches for: 'Bass Drum', 'Snare Drum', 'Hi-Hat Cymbal', 'Cymbal', 'Tom Tom', 'Bongo', 'Blocks' and 'Clave'. This unit was tested by our electronics tech and he said it all worked except for the 'Bongos', 'Blocks' and 'Clave' switches which are non-functional and do not work. All control switches were cleaned. All other switches and rhythms/controls work fine. Exterior wood case covering has much wear (see photo). The AC cord, 1/4" cable and Footswitch all work and are stored in the compartment on the back."
