Kent Loop Collection Volume 6 - EMS Synthi
"KENT LOOP COLLECTION VOLUME 6 – EMS SYNTHI
EMS Synthi was a portable synthesizer done in the early seventies by EMS, used by Pink Floyd, Todd Rundgren, Steve Hillage and other similar artist. This volume contains 50 synthi-like loops made with XILS Labs XILX 3 plug-in in the tradition of synthi-like sounds, sequencer patterns, odd bleeps, effects, as well as leads and bass lines.
Some of the loops use a compressor but most of them are clean so you could experiment with various compressor and other effect settings.
APPLELOOPS-LOGIC
These are green AppleLoops. If you don’t the plug-ins, just drag the loops into an audio track so the pure audio is used.
Drop the folder inside your loops directory and Logic will index these loops.
ABLETON LIVE
With Ableton Live, just drag them in from any location.
LOOP INDEX NAMES
synthi - synthi/XILS loops
bass - bass lines
pat - patterns, sequences and so on
lead - melodic loops
drum - drum loops
pad - pads and athmospheric loops

khx is my personal prefix.
LICENSING AGREEMENT
You are not allowed to make crappy music with these loops. Make hippie-electro music with these loops.
Have fun, Kent Sandvik (http://wwww.kentsandvik.com)

Pattern synth
YouTube via bubagoo | November 29, 2010 |
"This is part of a complex pattern sequencer. It's been in the works for quite a while and we finished our first working prototype last night. It's based on Rob Hordijk's benjolin circuit with a bunch of tweaks.
I'm working on a rhythm matrix unit which will interface with the complex pattern synth. More will be posted on that once it's done. For more info go to casperelectronics.com"

YouTube via FOCtv | November 29, 2010 |
"These are sample playback routines for the Decillionix DX-1. All three soundbanks are represented. The first one hear is "Cycle Sounds", where each sample in a soundbank is played at five different pitches before cycling to the next. Next each sample from every soundbank is put through the paces of routines 3 to 9."

Curve Public Beta

Great news! Curve, our unique new software synthesizer, is now available for public beta testing (PC+Mac, VST+AU).
We feel we've created something truly new here. Creating sounds with Curve is intuitive and immediate. The waveform editor is irresistible, and provides completely new possibilities for experimentation and detailed tweaking. Three powerful oscillators, three envelope generators, two filters and four LFOs work together in a sophisticated modulations matrix, all set out in a clear, uncomplicated user interface.
The other half of Curve exists outside the synthesizer. Curve's preset library is a shared online database, populated with your presets and those from other Curve users. This ever-growing, community-driven sound library provides a constant source of inspirational sound, and gives you the opportunity to share, tag and rate sounds quickly and easily across the web.
We also invite the Curve community to steer the future development of the synthesizer. Our bug reports and feature request list will be completely public at all times. We believe this is an essential aspect of Curve, and we're excited about where you're going to take us.
So download the public beta, try Curve, share your sounds and report as many bugs as you can."
