Has 20 preset rhythms and one metronome, Waltz, Tango, Beguine, Rumba, Mambo, Cha-cha, Bossa Nova, Ballad, and Young Beat A-F (6 variations) Fox-Swing A-F (6 variations). You can also get some crazy rhythms if the buttons are pushed down together - Jean Michel Jarre used this to great effect in the late 1970s. Has RCA sized output, along with standard jack for foot switch. Controls are On/Off and Volume, Tone, Tempo, along with a metronome button if you just want the metronome. "Bob Weigel of http://www.sounddoctorin.com does two minute or so demos of these 70's string/bass machine in the case of the Multivox String and Bass MX-202... or String and Keyboard in case of the Elka Rhapsody 610. The smaller 490 is apparently a scaled down to string only version..I haven't played one but they are highly regarded also I hear."
