YouTube Uploaded by FrankenMusik on Sep 6, 2011
"This modification includes:
8 switch FM Data Line Mod
Filter (with switch and control knob)
Distortion (with switch)
Data Scrambler (with LED indicators, switch and control knob)
Drone/LFO oscillator (2-switches and control knob)
With the flip of a few switches, turn a knob or two the PSS-270 produces unique sounds, glitches and drones. This classic Yamaha functions normally, runs on batteries or 9-12VDC power adapter. It also has Stereo RCA output and a 1/8" headphone jack.

E-mu Modular Mystery Modules

This one in via Von Holt.
In order:
"The Output Mixer - was this an E-mu design?"
"Mystery module 1 - note the misaligned switches and sockets?"
"Mystery module 2 - some sort of output unit obviously - who made it?"

"Mystery module 3 - looks like an E-mu module - what was it called?"
Update via Mark II Studio's in the comments: "I'm guessing here, but "Module 1" could have been an interface for a guitar... notice the letter markings, while not in correct order, they do represent the standard open string chord tuning for a guitar... "E, A, D, G, B, E" if they had a pickup that isolated each string that would match the jacks and panel setup... maybe early try at an Arp Avatar type situation?

But based on the lettering that's my best guess...
"Module 2" reminds me of a "matrix type mixer, and the bottom row to the right has a set of what appears to be "trim pots" possibly associated with the above left switches to match level control... again, just guessing, or could be also for C/V voltages more specific for triggers...

Arp Solus analog 1980's synthesizer

"serviced by legendary Arp tech Phil Cirroco in 2008. He fixed Oscillator 2 (it was dead when I bought it), he rebuilt the power supply, lubed and cleaned the sliders, did an audio path upgrade which replaced some of the chips in the audio path with audiophile chips, and did a full calibration of the Solus. The total for this work was $412. More about Phil’s great work here"

"Just got the EF-101 today from the kids @ the Electro-Faustus.
It's being run through the following :
1. Boss BX-8 Mixer
2. Boss SYB-5 Bass synth pedal
3. Boss GE-7 EQ pedal.
4. Ibanez DE-7 delay/echo pedal.
This little box can make some really interesting sounds. The construction is top notch as well."

"Electro Faustus EF-101. Here is some info from the EF site: "The Electro-Faustus EF101 Dual Oscillator is a digital circuit in which one oscillator feeds into another in series. Go from beeps and boops to robotic sounding squeals and wails. Great for live performances or sampling." Think of it as a theremin that uses nobs instead of proximity. It is alot of fun, well-built and a weird, affordable way to add all kinds of unique sounds to your projects. Below is a link to a Youtube video and an amazon page. I have used it for about two hours and it is in perfect shape."
