KORG MONOPOLY Analog Synthesizer | HQ DEMO

YouTube Uploaded by AnalogAudio1 on Dec 4, 2011

"The Korg/Mono Poly is a well equipped Synth: It has 4 oscillators, oscillator sync, cross modulation, PWM, noise generator (white noise), 24 dB Filter, 2 ADSR envelopes, 2 LFO's with many waveforms, ARPEGGIATOR, CHORD MEMORY and portamento. The built in microprocessor makes many things possible: chord memory, arpeggiator, and polyphonic playing.

It is built around SSM chips like the Korg Polysix. I think, with the MONOPOLY Korg wanted to produce a synth as an alternative to the Minimoog and Sequential Circuits Pro One. Please don't expect it to sound like a Minimoog. The Minimoog remains one of the best sounding analog synths, and the Monopoly (like many others) can not compete in terms of sound quality. However, it sounds great and gives a lot of inspiration. It is a flexible instrument with an amazing potential.

The most characteristic thing on the MonoPoly is the arpeggiator, when it triggers the oscillators in poly-mode. Every step of the arpeggiator triggers a different oscillator - unique patterns can be produced.

I played the Korg MonoPoly along with a Roland DC-30 delay, a Roland DEP-5 (delay) and and a Lexicon MPX-500 (reverb)."

SHOWTIME VIDEO Colorizer vintage analog pattern generator

via this auction

"This is a very hard to find video colorizer and pattern synthesizer. It will colorize external video and modulate the colors to incoming audio. It also has a simple video synth pattern generator which can also be modulated by external audio--it has a sort of melted grid look to it--very cool."

Atari Video Music

via this auction

"This is a limited edition video music modified by Switched On Music Electronics in Austin Texas. Switched On modified 10 of these last year, adding a composite video output (NTSC), 1/4" audio inputs and outputs, a fuzz output (audio from the Atari's built-in distortion circuit=insane FUZZ), and waveform mixer controls for the comparator. With the mods, the Video Music can function as a video synthesizer with no audio input at all--this gives you quite a bit of control over color and shape. It is difficult to achieve this sort of functionality without spending thousands on new LZX system."

"I got a chance to book some sampling time with the Legendary Korg PS3100 at Switched On Electronics in Austin. Its my little experiments with the LP filter, S/H, and Resonators. Truly a beautiful instrument. Hope others enjoy hearing what this instrument sounds like. Part One of Two. Sound and Video by Raul Pena."

MacBeth Mk1 VORTEX Keyboard (prototype) + Korg CX3 Organ Demo 3

YouTube Uploaded by macbethsynthesizers on Dec 4, 2011

"Here is another demostration of the Mk1 VORTEX Keyboard doing some kind of lead synth with a Korg CX3 organ. Synths and organs go very well together and I wanted to demonstrate the the sound mix. The VORTEX has some glide applied to the first oscillator and makes agreat sound when going from top to bottom of the keyboard. The analogue keyboard circuitry here excells! Excuse the slightly improvised keyboard style!"

Macbeth Mk1 VORTEX Series recorded 'dry' Demo 4

Uploaded by macbethsynthesizers on Dec 4, 2011

"Here is a video with the recording free of reverb (until the end!) This gives you a good chance to here the subtle, classic sound of this synth. Both the keyboard and the desktop (prototypes) share the exact same sound engine. I'd recomend listening to this on a good quality system...ie with speakers! It's basically a bunch of short vids attached to each other..."
