"Korg 707 digital FM synthesizer. I bought it in the late 1990's and mainly used it to trigger a hardware sampler, but I also used some of its internal sounds for recording music. It has In, Out and Thru MIDI ports, so if you have a MIDI interface, it can be used to play software instruments in a DAW.

It has 99 built-in sounds that can be tweaked with hardware controls. Not all of the sounds are great, but there are some gems, and things get really interesting when you start messing with the parameters. Additional sounds can be loaded if you get ahold of some ROM cards (people sell ROM cards for the 707 right here on eBay).

The 707 features guitar strap hooks on either side of it, so it can be used as a keytar. It's not in mint condition, there are some mars, scratches and dings, but overall it's in nice shape. With its blue color, keytar strap hooks and feel-good sounds, this is just an all-around fun instrument.

It comes with the original power supply. I do not have the manual or the original box."

"New instrument built in June 2012. Features 9 sensors that act as string modelers, 2 joysticks, 2 force sensitive resistors, many knobs, many buttons and some really bright blue and red LEDs. Designed and built by Nick Demopoulos, but credit goes to Ranjit Bhatnagar for programming the 2 arduinos that are inside of it, Malcolm Pepin for fabricating the wood body and Josh Dotson for consulting in many design issues. More info at www.nickdemopoulos.com"
