This one has had the Social Entropy Quicksilver 606 CPU installed, with both the 5 pin DIN MIDI in/out (via included adapter cables) and USB MIDI (in the battery compartment) options. Please do yourself a favour and review the Quicksilver specs on the Social Entropy website. Social Entropy also did the install - it's top notch - and replaced the 16 step switches while the unit was open, so there's lots of life in this one. "Here's the deal. The resonance filter cut out a couple days ago and most likely just needs to be re-soddered. That's it. Otherwise fully functional and installed with the amazing Social Entropy Quicksilver 303 Mod, which makes it just about as user-friendly as just about any step-based mono synth in existence. The mod also makes it fully MIDI-integrated. Check out social entropy's website for all the info on the mod.

If you're looking at this chances are you know this is a legendary synth with incredible sound. The box is 30+ years old, so it doesn't look brand new. But it has been serviced several times and other than the res filter the sound is perfect. Can't afford to invest more money in repairs right now and need a synth that's more gigging-friendly at the moment, otherwise I would absolutely hang on to this synth. Shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks tops to have a professional get the res filter working right, after which you will be left with the ultimate acid machine!"

"Social Entropy (Ripe) Creator of the Quicksilver 303/606 CPU's is showing his new 8-track prototype sequencer at NAMM this year called the Engine.

It has a raft of features similar to the TB-303 and TR-606 QS CPU's, and also a lot of other new features like skip (only seen on analog sequencers) and many more.

There is also USB, and an optional CV/Gate add-on too.

I'm sure more photos of it will emerge soon, possibly demos too."

"Up for grabs is my custom 606. The unit was originally restored and modded by Diabolical Devices. The mod adds tone controls for Bass Drum and Snare (can provide more specifics), individual outputs, and Custom Leds (see pics). This unit was then sent to Social Entropy for Quick Silver CPU installation.

Its kinda awkward pricing custom units like this to begin with, and I am emotionally attached to this one (it's a badass), so I am open for discussion on price, but please consider the following when making offers:

Cost of stock 606, Diabolical Devices Mod/Restoration, Quicksilver OS CPU and Midi install (adds both usb and din midi to the 606, both available simultaneously and can be used in conjunction with the normal trigger outs)

For those interested, I will provide more specifics and soun1150d examples on DD mods, but to get a feel for teh QS CPU just check the videos on youtube please."
