"Vintage new old stock recently discovered from a music shop.... Superbly rare - features 300 preset sounds!

Plug your midi keyboard (via midi cable) to the input, instrument cable to your speaker/amp. Tons of sounds, from pianos, pads, leads, etc.. 3 banks of sounds.

Power supply not included, but is a standard centre negative/9v. Really cool, unique digital synth unit. Never seen one before or since I purchased this. Mono/poly mode"

"I ran the unit in test mode, and it seems like voice chip number 2 is hanging and has a broken VCA. Voice chips number 1, 4 and 5 weren't working in a Filter Test, which probably means these voices have broken VCF. I also noticed Chorus Buttons seem like they are not working too, but everything else should be working fine to the best of my knowledge. Preset memories and writing function working well.

Cosmetically the unit is in a reasonably nice condition as you can see on my pictures. All the original switches, adjusters, and keys are in place and in good shape. Maybe a slight color aging on the buttons. Other than that there are few minor wear and surface marks here and there, most notably the marks shown in my picture #10, but nothing major.

Sold as is at a bargain price."

"This amazing little device translates audio into VCO CV (control voltage) signals and trigger (gate) signals to control both Hz/V (Korg, Yamaha) and V/Oct (Roland, Moog, Octave, Arp, etc.) analog synths.

You can use an electric guitar, microphone, or other transducer output (from an acoustic instrument, for example) to "play" a synthesizer. A variety of remote control input jacks let you use foot switches for more freedom and flexibility.

What's more, it outputs positive and negative gate signals, ENV follower voltage, and has built-in portamento. So can be used to make automatic bass lines from drum machine beats and to sweep a synths filter from the envelope follower."

Stick it in your 303/x0xb0x/soft synth/modular or whatever and go mental

Each month one of the group members submits a tb303 pattern for everyone to load into their 303, x0xb0x's or soft synths to make some acid

The pattern can then be programmed into your tb303 or x0x box to create a new track.
The pattern could be programmed into your vst such as ABL or Phoscoyn to create a new track.
Transcribe the pattern to midi and send it to your favourite synth to create a new track.
Grab the audio file and rework the audio into a new track

Then post your finished track or jam into the acid pattern group

((audience)) and Harvestworks present Source of Uncertainty

YouTube ublished on Jun 29, 2012 by audiencefest

"On June 28, 2012, Harvestworks and ((audience)), in partnership with River to River Festival, organized Source of Uncertainty and the Control Voltage Faire. As most modular synthesizers are constructed at the cottage industry level and distributed online, it is difficult for users to interact with these instruments. Control Voltage Fair will be the first opportunity on the East Coast for amateur enthusiasts, professionals and the general public to experience analog synthesizer modules produced by DIY manufacturers and crafters. The Control Voltage Fair will examine the origins and future of modular synthesis. The evening's concert, Source of Uncertainty, featured a Buchla 200e recital by three composers exploring this powerful instrument: Alessandro Cortini, Carlos Giffoni, and Mark Verbos. To close the event, Xeno & Oaklander and Loud Objects performed on all-analog instruments."

"Almost finished this stunning example of PPG goodness. A most unusual instrument combining a perfect harmony of analogue and digital not often seen in any synths really, bearing in mind that this pre dates the OB2 voice by a few years. :)"

"I'm not entirely sure of the numbers, but Mr. Palm built about 14 of these and about 5 have survived. But none to the level this girl is running now ;)"
