My Mind At Rest

YouTube Published on Jul 26, 2012 by Richarius Molindarius

"Firstly - this video is of my noise machine playing a DRONE piece. Not neksays-sarah-lee, will everyone be into that. :O :)
Right then - this piece consists of 4 x CMOS CD4093 oscillators. 2 of them are being voltage controlled by each their own, SLOW Low Frequency Oscillators. One does a full cycle about every 30 seconds and the other a full cycle about every 3 minutes.
Though you wont hear the stereo in this video:
- 1 stable oscillator is panned hard left
- 1 stable oscillator is panned hard right
- the 2 Voltage Controlled Oscillator's outputs are both going into a single XOR Gate. The output from it, is going into the mono input of a TC Electronics stereo delay, set up for panning between the left and right at about 0.5hz or, once every 2 seconds ... roughly, with a LOT of feedback. The stereo outs are mixed with the hard panned oscillators and that is sent off to the amplifier.

This piece is 7 or 8 minutes long. If I can get my digital recorded hooked up, I'll record a much longer version of it for posting on my Richarius soundcloud site.

I hope you enjoy. :) I myself love it."

Tachyon by Wizdom Music Video Overview by Jordan Rudess

YouTube Published on Jul 26, 2012 by JCRUDESS

"Tachyon allows images and sound to become one as they magically blend under the user's fingertips. Each note played is an individual expression, allowing independent control of pitch and tone far beyond that of traditional instruments. Most instruments only allow the user to play one sound at a time, but with Tachyon they can seamlessly blend between any two sounds as they slide their fingers up and down the screen. Organix JX-3P MIDI Expansion Kit Available Again

Originally posted here back in 2005, the Organix JX-3P MIDI Expansion Kit is now available again. You can find it here.

"The Roland JX-3P synthesizer is a nice analog synth produced in 1983. Today people still use this synth very often. The JX-3P was one of the first synthesizers with MIDI. The sounds can be edited from the frontpanel and with a PG-200 programmer. One of the biggest disadvantages is that the MIDI functionality is very limited. No SysEx or CC support was implemented. It is impossible to edit the sounds via MIDI. The second disadvantage is that the PG-200 programmer and the MIDI-IN can not be used simultaneously.

To solve these shortcomings, a JX-3P MIDI Expansion kit is designed. This kit is the result of many months reverse-enginering and designing. It adds a lot more MIDI functionality to the Roland JX-3P synthesizer.

- simultaneous use of the MIDI Input and PG-200
- control the JX-3P realtime with standard MIDI CC messages. (i.e. with a MIDI-Knob controller).
- all knobs and switches on the PG-200 send out standard MIDI CC messages.
- select the MIDI channel on the JX-3P as 1, 2, 3 or OMNI
- velocity sensitivity (MIDI input only, not the keyboard)"

"I am selling my PAIA drummer boy that I have owned for two years. I recently had Scott from PAIA look over this and service it for me to get it back to perfect working condition. This is a fantastic collectors item and I am sad to see it go. It is missing one of its rubber feet but other than that it is in immaculate condition with only some tiny surface scratches that are hardly visible. I have sampled it on a number of my tracks. You can see Scott testing the actual unit for sale in this video before he sent it back to me. I have also made a PAIA modular, which still gives me great joy to use.

'ANALOG ANTI-DRUM' Synthesizer Drum Machine

"Up for auction - A very Special piece of real Analog (analogue) audio technology. Based on the very rare 'Beat Sound Electronic Drum', the original device has been extensively Modded, Circuit Bent & Augmented with some serious new Circuitry to expand the machine into the realms of professional Analog Drum Synthesizers and way beyond....

There is some minor damage to the plastic case of this machine, which has been carefully & permanently repaired. See pics at the bottom of the auction.

The 'Beat Sound Electronic Drum' is often referred to as the Lo-Fi Tr-909 - Certainly the machine is quite capable of producing Phat Booming TR-909 like Analog Drums, but it also has it's own very distinctive sound, oozing Lo-Fi character and Charm. The Analog 'Phaser' channel produces a whole range of Dub / Disco / Techno sounds which are entirely UN-explored by any vintage Roland Gear.

I love these fabulous little machines, which is why I own four of them. I spent about a year making this particular unit, gradually adding new mods and tweaking others to achieve just the right sound. I've since made three others following this design, and so am passing this one on (and keeping the others)....

The 'Analog Anti-Drum' is a genuine Analog Drum synthesizer, with 4 x Analog Drum Channels, Velocity Sensitive Pads and Rubber Tipped Drum Sticks that are attached underneath the machine.

It is possibly the coolest looking Drum Synth in the world, and looks suspiciously like a piece of Alien Technology (perhaps from the 'Predator' Movies). However, this machine is all about the Lovely Analog Sounds, and live hands-on controls.

In it's Standard configuration the 'Analog Anti-Drum' will act as a respectable Analog Drum Synthesizer, with various controls and drum pads that will respond differently depending on how hard they're hit. When combined with the various new circuitry and tweaked, the machine will operated more like an Analog Synth, with 4 x Oscillators that can be tweaked, Modulated, Effected, Distorted, Cut & Dropped on command.

I'm currently working on a demo video, should have it here within a day or two. In the meantime, HERE is a quick recent vid using 'Analog Anti-Drums'.

HERE is the Original video I made for the machine some years back (note - I've replaced / Up-Graded the Amp Circuits since making this video)."
